INSTRUCTIONS

*Sign in to your Google Account and get to the Google Drive folder that you want to store the tournament file

*Right click on the file, make a copy of the Google Sheet file and save it into your Google Drive

*Rename the file to designate your Regional Tournament

Replace the Tournament name headings and dates to your "Regional Qualifiers List" (this should populate to all other areas)

*Replace the District #s to match your Region on the Regional Qualifiers List

*Type the Entry Names on the Regional Qualifiers List only (use first and last names along with their school)

keeping the district and finish numbers (ie District and Finish Firstname Lastname / Firstname Lastname, School)

*During the seeding meeting on the draw sheets, click on the drop down marker and select the entry for each line

*This will populate the Day 1 Order of Play matches

*After the seeding meeting, hide columns A,B, and C in each Draw Sheet page

*After the seeding meeting, hide the Regional Qualifiers List sheet

*Run the Tournament from the Order of Play Sheets (you will not need to go to the draws to enter anything).

Enter the start time of the match on the right along with the court # so that anyone with the link can see it.

*Pick the winners from the dropdown box and type in the scores along with the time finished (Important: use score

formats that can be used to print in the newspaper by them cutting and pasting)

*This will populate all the draws sheets and future Order of Play sheets (except for Playbacks that must
19
be selected in the correct cell if a playback is needed)

*Note that the 2nd round thru finals on the draws are protected (A warning will come up asking verification of changes)

*Share the file with any site director that will be using the draws to enter results (run the tournament)

*Share the link (view only) with any coach, family, fan, or media to see updated scores as matches

are concluded, along with the court number where the match is being played. A suggestion is to use a link shortener.

and to also suggest to anyone wanting to view on their phones that it is best if they download Google Sheets first.

Share the file with the TTCA for the website by sending the link to kleinecke@me.com. Include the Classification and Region

*You can hide the unnecesary sheets and only keep the ones you want the public to see (putting them in order of

how you want the public to see them. Note that the first sheet is the one that will open first for everyone. My suggestion is to put

the Day 1 or 2 Order of Play first.)
