Preliminary Organizational Capacity Assessment

7
INTRODUCTION
8
Christian Connections for International Health’s (CCIH) goal is that every member continues to build their organizational capacity to succeed in their current endeavors and increase their ability to take on new opportunities. To further this goal, CCIH seeks to assess and mitigate organizational risk when working with its members to establish partnerships and award sub-grants.
9
10
To best understand the challenges and gaps that potential partners may have, potentially putting these partnerships at risk, CCIH is using this Preliminary Organizational Capacity Assessment tool (P-OCA) so that CCIH and its awardees are using a common language to better facilitate an open and honest discussion around organizational capacity. This P-OCA seeks to address the following objectives:
11
1. To determine whether your organization has the ability and capacity to manage donor funds.
12
2. To determine the most appropriate award mechanism and specific award conditions, if necessary.
13
3. To determine the support and oversight required to ensure proper accountability of funds
14
15
The goal of the P-OCA is to provide your organization with a sub-agreement with CCIH and the P-OCA creates an organizational baseline for CCIH. The P-OCA can provide the foundational information for a post-award Comprehensive Organizational Capacity Assessment (C-OCA).
