Senior Citizen's RF Campaign General Tips

All the RF related content here is referenced from his RF levelling guide video that is linked on the site - all credit to him. As a boomer, I just prefer it in spreadsheet form vs a video - this is just a supplement to his content

I will have his POB open for passive allocation, item stats, etc

Changes for 3.25 relevant for RF Campaign

Rolling Magma has been nerfed (280% at all levels to scaling from 230% at level 1) but is still viable to take you to RF in Act 2

Try and find 3x blue socket asap so can use Combustion + Elemental Proliferation support Gems for Rolling Magma

Try and find the suitable sockets / gear to swap to Armageddon brand --> Flame Trap as soon as you get the gems at the Library

Alternatives to Rolling Magma (DON'T FORGET YOU STILL NEED INT GEAR FOR YOUR RF / FIRE TRAP GEM REQUIREMENTS):

a) Holy Totem - It's in the Pohx pob

b) Smite + Ancestral Call (Credit - Qchaos @ Pohx Discord)

c) Shield Crush --> Sweep / Sunder at lvl 12 (Credit - Fredek @ Pohx Discord)

d) Other buffed melee skills - Crushing Fist, etc

I can't be arsed to use the alternatives as it's just a temporary skill anyway

Shield Charge is now available to purchase from Nessa once you complete "Breaking the eggs" quest.

However - probably not worth sacrificing for the dps from dual goat horns until you have decent shield + sceptre combo, since Rolling Magma is nerfed anyway

More flexibility in bandit quest now as 1 passive point has been moved to the "Golden Hands" quest

Help Oak = 40 max life - more life, less die

Help Kraiyn = 8% movement speed - ideal to speed through campaign

Kill All = 1 passive skill point - up to you

Help Alira = +15% to All Res - useless

You just need to be close to Waypoints to activate them

Useful vendor recipes

Magic boots with 10% increased Movement speed

Normal boots + Quicksilver Flask + Orb of Augmentation

Will change sockets!

Upgrading Magic / Rare boots that have Movement speed already - Up to 30% MS

Boots + Quicksilver Flash + Orb of Augmentation

Will change sockets!

1x Iron Ring + 1x red skill gem

Should have 2 of these when you get RF

Turquoise Amulet

1x Jade (Dex) Amulet + 1x Lapis Amulet (Int) + 1x Orb of Transmutation

Will help with Gem stat requirements

If struggling to buy early gems / add fire res craft

To copy and paste into the vendor search tab to find specific gear. Useful to use a plug-in like "Awakened POE Trade" to store and grab them easier without having to copy paste all the time

This searches for:

Rolling Magma + Elemental Proliferation + Combustion

Shield Charge + Faster Attacks + Lifetap

Frostblink + Arcane surge + other colour (vitality, bloodrage, purity of elements, herald of thunder, etc)

Frostblink + Arcane surge OR Rolling Magma + Elemental Proliferation

Flammability + Lifetap

Punishment + Lifetap + Summon Stone Golem

This removes all the 2 socket combinations above and leaves the 3 socket combinations (r-r-r, r-r-g, b-b-b) . It will give you less results as you'll probably use looted gear for the 2 socket combinations anway

This searches for gear with +Intelligence, b-b-b sockets, r-r-g sockets and movement speed (Need to include quotation marks when there's a space in the regex) - probably only useful early till you swap to RF / Fire Trap

This is what i'll probably use till mid Act 2

4 links g-g-g|b-b-b

4 link regex for Righteous Fire / Fire Trap are a bit more complex because the order doesn't matter for the skill and I believe the order matters for the regex

(e.g. b-b-b-r and b-r-b-b and r-b-b-b are the same from the skill perspective but for regex you need to account for all of the possible combinations separately which might not fit in the search field) - Correct me if i'm wrong, not a regex expert!

so r-b-b-b|b-r-b-b|b-b-r-b|b-b-b-r|r-g-g-g|g-r-g-g|g-g-r-g|g-g-g-r which searches for the RF and Firetrap 4-links is 63 characters which will not fit due to the 50 character limit

Probably just easier at this point to flick through shops and look manually rather than having to paste and search twice if you split it for RF / Firetrap separately or just use g-g-g|b-b-b

4 sockets (and therefore 4 links) will start appearing in shops / loot at character level 25, so only look for them once you hit this level

Pohx's loot filter will highlight them as drops too

Campaign Milestones

Rough stat / level / dmg milestones. Not really mandatory, if you are zooming through the campaign don't need to look here, you can be below these numbers and finish the campaign fine

Armour jumps because of Determination, Fire res goes down due to Kitava kill

Uniques useful for campaign

If you're uber lucky and get some early chaos orbs / pricey currency or just a lucky unique drop or are playing with friends that are lucky (and generous) - here are some uniques are useful for RF

Don't bother trying to spend too much time looking for them. They will be overpriced Day 1 anyway and some of the low level ones with be out stat-ted with later rares.

Apart from jewellery / belt - everything else will lead to higher socket pressure if they don't roll the right colours so use your limited chromatics / fusings and pray (don't waste them if you don't have 4 links yet)

Not a comprehensive list
