Use this spreadsheet to submit data on student enrollment in courses using OER for the Save $1 Billion Project according to the instructions below.

** DEADLINE: October 3 **

STEP 1: Review the data requirements on our methodology page here: https://sparcopen.org/save-1-billion/#methodology

STEP 2: Go to the "Adoptions" tab and enter any OER adoptions you are aware of. This is optional, but helpful. Your student enrollment totals will automatically calculate. Note: we ask you to note if a course uses OpenStax, since we'll have national numbers we need to de-duplicate.

STEP 3: Return to this tab and enter under "Other Data" any additional student enrollment totals from other sources. Enter the total (including both OpenStax and non-OpenStax) in the "All" column, and enter just students using OpenStax in the other column. It will total automatically.

STEP 4: Provide a brief description of how you collected this data in the box labeled "Notes" below the table. A few sentences is fine.

STEP 5: When set the dropdown to "Done!" and/or email nicole@sparcopen.org with questions. If we don't hear from you, we'll simply pull in any data that's entered here after September 28. You can also let us know if you need more time.

STEP 6: If you're attending the OpenEd conference, let us know! We'd love for you to join our session where we will present this data.

How this data will be used: Data entered on the "Report" tab will be aggregated with other data sources for your institution and shared publicly under CC0. We will not share your name or methodology notes proactively, although reserve the right to disclose the source of this information on a case-by-case basis if needed. Data entered on the Adoptions tab will not be shared publicly, but will be retained and may be used for further study.
