7/26/2016 19:37:21Looking to CrewBruce Clothier989-205-9484Brucloth@yahoo.comI spent 7 years in the USCG as an engineer and sadly have no experience sailing. I enjoy being on the water and am seriously considering purchasing a sailboat sometime in the next year. Obviously I would be of limited assistance in anything a skipper would need, but I have a strong understanding of mechanical things - show me once, see that I do it right the next time, then worry about something else each time after that. I'm 54 years old and in decent physical condition. Having spent time on big water, I understand that even while having fun nature must be respected, or everybody can be in serious trouble - physically AND financially. If you're interested in signing me on for a race or two, know that you'll have my undivided attention. 8/38/31

7/26/2016 21:06:14Looking to CrewWendy A. Carlson(989) 577-9216carlson_wendya@hotmail.comAge: 64 young - Weight 180 lbs. I used to crew in lightning races in New Jersey with my Dad. I would need a refresher. I am a good Swimmer. I know how to duck and I am not afraid if the boat swamps. I have been through that a few times. I used to know how to raise the spinnaker and take it down. No problem with managing a Jib sail. Non-smoker, non-drinker (sorry), happily married with grandchildren. I won't tell the captain what to do :) - but I will know if he/she does not know what they are doing. :) - Might be interested in crewing just for a day sail -- not always for a race.8/110/30

10/24/2016 9:08:55Looking to CrewJosh Hoffman810-922-8568Teeter.hoffman@yahoo.comGood morning,

I am Amanda, Josh's wife. I am looking to make a great contact with someone in hopes to find my husband an opportunity to fulfill a dream and a passion. He is a kind heart anda hard worker. His dream is to retire on a boat and sail around. First things first, he needs experience! He is 37, strong but has limited time on a sail boat. In fact he has only joined 1 race, on Lake Fenton with the owner of the boat. But they did win!
What i would like is to get in touch with someone who would be able to bring him aboard for a trip and training, as well as a great experience.
We are in no rush. Since we too live in Michigan and know winter is coming. I would appreciate someone helping me find him the perfect spot for him to join. He does work full time but has several weeks of vacation that he would be able to use. Please let me know if you have a position that would work for him or if you could put us in the hands of someone who does.
Thank you,
Amanda Teeter-Hoffman

6/22/2017 14:11:43Looking to CrewJason Schumer9895605657Jason.Schumer@gmail.comHey Everyone!

My name is Jason Schumer. 5'10, 175 lbs, strong and handy. Firefighter/Paramedic and a very fast learner. I am a good person to have around when things get a bit chaotic. I have all of June and July off work as I am waiting on credentialing as a Physician Assistant. I've crewed on a catamaran off Belize and have done some coastal cruising on the great lakes. Spent all last summer dinghy racing.

I have dreams of offshore sailing. I am willing to go up the mast, perform maintenance dockside and any duty required while racing.

I live 45 minutes away and I'll show up AND BE ON TIME when I say I will!

3/25/2018 12:43:17Looking to CrewBenjamin Clark9895609944benjamind.clark@me.comI've sailed the Queens Cup the last 4 or 5 years. Doing the Chicago Mac this year. Thursday night and weekend races at the South Haven Yacht Club. Sailed the Adriatic Sea of the coast of Croatia for a week, both living onboard and docking in different islands. Currently crew on an S2 9.1, but the distance from Mt. Pleasant to South Haven is getting a little too much to make it as much as I'd like. Looking to help crew on a boat in Bay City to continue my learning and better both my cruising and racing experience. Hoping to crew on a newer boat and experienced skipper to help push my abilities. Have experience and willing to hold any position on the boat. I do appreciate any and all skippers giving me consideration to help join their crew. Thank you.

5/10/2018 9:14:02Looking to CrewJonah Joppich989 439-2582Jonahjoppich@gmail.comI am a 21 year old college student studying electrical. I had a passion for sailing since I was kid. My uncle Kevin Wolcott raced a J27 for years, I was enthtralled by his enthusiasm and desire to make his boat perform faster. I have a great love for science and physics and quick ability to learn. I also have a knack to fix anything under pressure and have excellent critical thinking skills. So with my strong work ethic and love of the water, I would be honored to be a part of your crew. You can consider me as an intermediate level of knowlege. I'm available most late afternoons and evenings. 5/1210/30
