Smoke haze from Sumatra and Kalimantan continued to persist and spread westward to the Indian Ocean. While the hotspot activities in Kalimantan could not be fully determined due to partial satellite pass, widespread moderate to dense haze continued to spread to the South China Sea and the sea areas between Kalimantan and Sumatra. Also, parts of central and southern Sumatra continue to be affected by moderate to dense smoke haze and some of the haze has spread to the Strait of Malacca and the western coast of Peninsular Malaysia. Thick smoke haze continued to engulf many parts of Sumatra with some of the haze spreading to the northern half of Peninsular Malaysia. In Kalimantan, the hotspot activities could not be fully determined due to cloud cover and partial satellite pass.
