|In 1996-97 Hanover County Public Schools, supported by a grant from the Virginia Department of Education, began a program called Serve & Learn. The program’s purpose was to encourage and acknowledge the importance of volunteer service to the community. |The Hanover County Council of PTAs annually awards a scholarship to three graduating seniors from Hanover County high schools. These students are continuing their education in a variety of ways.
