I have a background in traditional finance and have been involved in the world of cryptocurrency since 2011. I already spend a majority of my spare time researching things in the crypto space so it seems like a natural fit to apply those skills to this DAO too. I want to find something to commit all my time to when it comes to cryptocurrency and as soon as I read the contract I jumped in with every spare ETH I had available. I’m a mechatronics engineer in my final year, obviously into crypto and NFTs. Stumbled across this project though the airdrop like many others and immediately I researched it briefly. Now what I sort envisioned this at the start is sort of the helpline of the crypto space. Everyone keeps bashing crypto and NFTs because of how easy it is to get scammed so that aspect of the coin is what grabbed my attention.Ever since though the coin has not made any progress and I was not sure why until I got on the call and understood exactly how it is run. That the founder is basically abandoned it and we as the community need to adopt it.I think I can set up a team including myself, to get a system to verify scams, compensate the victims and sort of tag the scamming wallets for what they are (scammers) within our interface. this will enable us to become the hub where everyone comes in to check if who they’re dealing with is a previous offender in a sense.

For my real life work I have to undertake training on phishing and social engineering attacks. My job is fairly technical in its field and I am required to have an excellent attention to detail. I also have to take the technical details and disseminate them to both a technical and non-technical audience. I think the skill of understanding who your audience is and tailoring the message as necessary is really important.

Compensation for verified scams should be one of the first goals of OpenDao and it is badly needed in the NFT space.

I've been involved in NFTs since July 2021 and seen my share of scams in the space. I have not yet been a victim, but we need to provide some mechanism to those that have if we want the NFT space to grow. Reputation of NFTs being a place for scammers has to be repaired, but if we have a compensation mechanism that we as a community will help those that have really been scammed that is a huge plus.

This seems like the group that will make the biggest innovations for OpenDAO.
