Full Time Vocational Curriculum Offer

1. Students will apply to a vocational curriculum area, not to a specific course and level.

2. Students will be given an offer for a vocational curriculum area and the level of study. (This will be based on predicted GCSE grades)

3. The level and course offered will be confirmed post GCSE results day, on the Information, Advice and Guidance or Enrolment days.

4. The same entry criteria will be applied as this year.

6. Students will enter at a level appropriate to their GCSE results and can progress from level to level once they have achieved the qualification level they have been studying.

7. Students do not have to complete all qualification levels, they can exit the College with any level qualification.

8. There are 13 Vocational Curriculum Pathways that students will apply to:

CREATIVE AND DIGITAL ARTS

The only full time provision in construction is the Pre-Apprenticeship programme at level 1.

Students who have not yet achieved GCSE grade 9-4 or A* to C equivalency will continue to the study English & maths qualifications as part of their programme of full time study.

At level 1, students will complete a L1 vocational pathway, called 'Progress To' which will include English and maths, PDP, Enrichment, Generic Vocational Study, Work Experience and Curriculum Vocational Study.

We will be asking for names of students who are likely to be placed on level 1 programmes so we can start transition discussions.
