Illinois Manufacturing Association CCPE ScholarshipThe Illinois Manufacturers’ Association (IMA), in partnership with Education Systems Center at NIU (EdSystems), is now offering a scholarship to Illinois students who graduate high school having earned the CCPE in Manufacturing, Engineering, Technology, and Trades (METT) and are planning to continue their education or work in manufacturing, welding, or engineering. To earn the CCPE on a high school diploma and transcript, a student must complete an individualized learning plan, engage in a career-focused instructional sequence (including early college credit), participate in work-based learning, and demonstrate readiness for college-level reading and math. NOYCE STEM ScholarshipElmhurst University has been granted a National Science Foundation (NSF) Grant to provide scholarships to future STEM teachers. This scholarship provides two years of support for up to $15,000 to students to earn a double major in biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, and education. Seal of Biliteracy Achievement ScholarshipThe theme this year is "Multilingualism is a superpower. What does it mean to you to be multilingual and attain the Seal of Biliteracy? How do you envision leveraging your multilingual superpowers in your future endeavors?" Three scholarship awards will be given: $500, $200, and $100. Nominations should have two parts: 1. S-STEM Scholarship for Harper CollegeThis is the S-STEM Scholarship (funded by a grant from the National Science Foundation). Students who meet the criteria below are encouraged to apply: Pell-eligible​. Achieved a 3.0 unweighted high school GPA​. Have a demonstrated interest in computer science; this interest could be taking a computer science class, a hobby, etc. Enrolled in 9 credit hours in Fall 2024 to receive the scholarship. Maintain 6 credit hours in Fall 2024 to continue receiving the scholarship​. The scholarship provides a maximum of $15,000 per year for awardees based on their unmet need for their cost of attendance. The award amount will therefore vary for each student. University of Illinois: Temple Hoyne Buell Memorial Scholarship In the memory of our beloved brother Temple Hoyne Buell, ZΔ 1916, three scholarships, each worth $1,000, are being offered to qualified incoming freshmen men to the University of Illinois. This scholarship is offered to incoming freshmen men without regard to race, creed, color or religion. Acceptance into the membership of the fraternity is not required. The scholarship will be paid in a single amount of $1,000 in the Fall 2024 semester upon proof of full-time enrollment at the University of Illinois.
