|Art Honor society||Madeline Brewer||Nov 2||October 16||The criteria is as follows: maintain at least a 3.0 GPA, have taken at least two art classes during high school and received at least a B+ for both, have not been suspended for more than one day in the past year, and a recommendation by a teacher not in the Art Department. We have an application that students have to fill out with a recommendation form to be completed by a teacher.||/|

|English Honor Society||Laura Joy Palma||Dec 13th||September 29th||Students must have a 3.5 GPA in English and have completed six semesters of English prior to induction. They must also be in good behavioral standing at the school without any opportunity to question their academic honesty. A scholarship will be awarded to one of the graduating members who distinguishes him or herself in an essay about a service experience this year.||/|

|French Honor Society||Melanie Howard||April/May||Mid March||All students in French II, III, IV, and V are screened and invitations are sent to students who meet eligibility requirements. Students must have an A- average for the most recent 3 semesters of French, a current A in French, and an overall GPA of B.||/|
|German Honor Society||Friedgard Van Eck||End of April, or first week of May.||End of March||Students are eligible for membership in the German Honor Society if they have a 3.6 GPA in German, a cumulative 3.0 GPA in all courses, and have completed at least 3 semesters of German. All eligible students will be invited to join. Those who accept the invitation by the deadline date of March 31 will be inducted in a formal ceremony held in April or early May. There is a one time $10 membership fee, payable to the German Honor Society.|
|Math Honor Society||Laura Yannarella||April 17th||February 28||Eligible students meet the following criteria: have passed Algebra II, be enrolled in a mathematics class (unless you have passed AP Calc), have a 3.0 overall GPA, have a 3.25 math GPA (unweighted in Alg, Geom, and Alg II), not have earned a D or F for any high school math course ( even if it has been retaken), or have a failed a core course, and not have an official or unofficial record of academic dishonesty. Dues are $12, one time payment.|
|National Honor Society||Lori Dunn||April 27th||March 10th||Eligible 11th and 12th grade students with a minimum 3.5 GPA are invited to submit an application packet. Following submission, these packets are reviewed by the five-person Faculty Counsel and applicants notified of their status.|
|National Junior Classical League/Latin Honor Society||James Wickenden||April/May||March||Eligible students must have a three semester average of 90 or higher. Per National Junior Classical League (NJCL), "A student should be a current Latin student and should have had an A average for year that is concluding. Also, and very importantly, each student recommended for NLHS induction should have already been a dues paying member in good standing of both NJCL and your state JCL."|
National Technical Honor Society

Science National Honor Society
|Kristen Massey||March 27||February 23||Membership for a student in the SNHS is conferred during the last two years of secondary school education. A student must have and maintain a 3.0 grade point average (4.0 scale) to be a member. In addition, the following qualifications must be met and maintained:|
• A member must be enrolled in at least one honors or upper level science class during or prior to the eleventh grade year.
• A member must be enrolled in at least one second year honors or upper level science class during or prior to the twelfth grade year.
• If second year honors or upper level science courses are not offered by the school, then the student must be enrolled in a second first year honors or upper level science class during or prior to the twelfth grade year.
A member must maintain a 3.5 on a 4.0 scale across all science courses.

|Tri-M Music Honor Society||Nick Conty||Jan/Feb||October 31st||Eligible students must be enrolled in a music class during their years of participation, achieve at least a B in their music class and a C average in their remaining academic classes, and demonstrate leadership, service, and good character inside and outside of school.
