Updates to 2nd Title IX Page (Tilte IX Support, Resources & Reporting)
UW students who experience sexual assault, sexual harassment, and other Title IX-related conduct have rights and options. Making an online Title IX report will connect you to support so you can learn about your Title IX rights and resources.
After making a Title IX report, a Title IX case manager will contact you to offer information on supportive measures, formal and informal resolution options, and connect you with support resources. They will explain that you may file a formal complaint which is a request for the University to investigate. You have the option to file a formal complaint with UW, file a report with the police, or do neither. Making a Title IX report is not the same as filing a formal complaint and will not automatically initiate a Title IX investigation.
Make a Title IX Report (Linked: https://www.washington.edu/titleix/report/)
Survivor Resources (Linked: https://www.washington.edu/titleix/survivor-resources/)
If you are seeking confidential support, or are still determining if you want the University to know about your experience, consider contacting a University confidential advocate before submitting a Title IX report.

NEW Title IX page!!!
Pregnancy & Related Conditions Support & Modifications (title)
Students who are pregnant or experiencing related conditions have certain rights under Title IX. You may be entitled to modifications, adjustments, support, and accommodations related to attending class or participating in educational or academic activities if you: (items below are in bulleted list)
are pregnant
have experienced the end of a pregnancy
have given birth
are lactating
have experienced other pregnancy-related conditions

Title IX’s goal is to ensure individuals who are pregnant or experiencing pregnancy-related conditions are not denied or limited in their access to an educational program or activity. Title IX aims to help pregnant students remain in school and ensure someone who recently gave birth can return to school.
How to request support & modifications (bolded heading)
Students are encouraged to work directly with their instructors to request reasonable modifications and support related to their pregnancy, including requests for absences related to their pregnancy or breaks for lactation.
Students should contact the disability resources office on their campus for assistance with medically necessary accommodations such as parking, furniture, classroom relocation, lab support if working with chemicals, disability-related absences, and other possible complications related to pregnancy.
You may contact the Office of the Title IX Coordinator for assistance or consultation at any time.
