38	Physical Description							Background
39	While not an exceptionally built man, the way Bayard habitually stands gives an impression of being larger than he actually is. He has slicked back black hair, one green eye, and skin tanned from many days out in the sun. The right side of his face is marred by a deep scar, and he wears an eypatch over his ruined eye. He is usually found wearing his trademark leather jacket, which has ceramic plates hidden in it for greater protection.							Growing up as the eldest of five brothers, Bayard quickly learned how to wrangle unruly children, a skill that later translated pretty well to training hunting dogs. A hunter by trade, he worked with his dogs to bring down prey, facilitated by the signals from his Hunting Horn. Having grown tired of hunting normal prey, and hearing that the mythical island of Qedem had arisen from the sea, he decided to travel there to test his mettle against the fantastical beasts that surely populated its shores. Before he got there, however, he recieved a missive appraising him of the fact that one of his brothers had been a researcher for the original landing party on Qedem, and had gone missing. Now instilled with a second goal - to find out the fate of his brother - Bayard set off to hunt monsters!
