Bahamas Plastic Movement's Plastic CampBahamas Plastic Movementhttps://www.bahamasplasticmovement.org/plastic-campReuse AdvocacyOutreach & EducationAllThe Plastic Pollution Education and Ocean Conservation Camp is a tuition free, intensive summer program that takes students on a holistic journey from the problem with plastic to solutions to this environmental crisis. This camp, which is the first of its kind for The Bahamas, empowers students to become environmental leaders and tackle the issue of plastic pollution using a dynamic, creative and hands on approach. Our unique method of encompassing science, technology, engineering, art, math (STEAM) and community engagement lends to the success of our program as we enter our fourth consecutive year. Working predominantly in South Eleuthera, Bahamas, our main program is targeted towards youth, ages 9-15 years old. In addition to our main program, we aim to host satellite plastic camps with partner organizations on other islands of The Bahamas. Throughout the course of the camp, students cover a range of topics from marine science, oceanography, scientific research, beach debris removal, engineering, consumerism, plastic pollution, ocean conservation, art and media production, and youth activism.

BPM’s mission is to build a community of education and activism around plastic pollution. By empowering Bahamians to contribute to hands on citizen science and environmental leadership, we aim to evolve mindsets and spark cultural practices that will be pivotal in executing changes at the policy level.

We envision a Bahamas where an engaged public has created a nation free of plastic debris.

Al' Essentiel Package- Free ShopAl' Essentielhttps://www.epicerie-alessentiel.be/Package- Free ShopsMultipleThe concept of the package-free grocery store is "to offer products for sale in gravity containers (small silos), in jars or even in shovel bins and liquids in tanks. The consumer will be able to come with his own containers or if he does not have any, buy bags or fabric jars on site."For the future of our planet, we have decided to embark on the adventure aimed at reducing waste. Packaging currently represents around 20% of waste in Wallonia therefore it is high time to take action. We are reducing the ecological footprint by promoting local products and therefore reducing transportation. Our products are labeled and certified organic at more than reasonable prices as well. In fact, since we have decreased the use of packaging of our products, the sale price has decreased by 15 to 20% as well.Customer providedCustomerNoneNoNone Customern/an/an/an/an/an/aXXFor Profit2-Pilot/Start-upUnknownUnknownBrussels, BelgiumBelgium EuropeFrenchUnknownNo funding information availableActiveX

https://www.coca-colacompany.com/content/dam/journey/us/en/reports/coca-cola-world-without-waste-report-2020.pdf
Pre-Filled Refill SystemsSingle-Brand Program Rigid PlasticsIn a circular system, customers pay an indirect deposit when purchasing soda in a refillable bottle by receiving a discount on their next purchase when they return the empty bottle to the store. Retailers then store the empty bottles and give them back to Coca-Cola upon delivery of a new order. Next, Coca-Cola brings the multi-branded mix of bottles back to a bottling facility where paper labels are washed off and bottles are cleaned, refilled, and rebranded with a fresh label before being redistributed. The bottles apparently last up to 25 cycles and are recycled at the end of their useful lives, along with their 100% recyclable labels. In 2018, the Coca-Cola Company announced the goal of correctly sending for collection and recycling the equivalent of each bottle or can sold, to be achieved by 2030. The goal is part of the “World without Waste” vision, and here you will discover the what is being done to make this possible.Plastic - PETPlastic - PETProgram OperatorDepositYesNone Program operator70%n/an/an/an/an/an/an/an/aFor ProfitYesWorld Without Waste Initiative2-Pilot/Start-up18922018Rio de Janeiro, BrazilBrazilSouth AmericaEnglishUnknownNo funding information availableJames QuinceyActiveLoop, Petrobras, Circulate Capital, Ellen MacArthur Foundation, Indorama Ventures, Benioff Ocean Initiative, TerraCycle Thai Foundation, Global Plastic Action Partnership, Indonesia National Plastic Action Partnership, The Consumer Goods Forum, Malaysian Recycling Alliance
