The Performance Management (PM) Framework illustrates PM linkage to other core HRM areas (i.e., RSP, L&D and R&R). The large mint green color circle represents the PM as one (1) HRM area, and showing four (4) small circles representing the four (4) stages or phases of SPMS cycle; Phase 1) Performance Planning and Commitment, Phase 2) Performance Monitoring and Coaching, Phase 3) Performance Review and Evaluation, Phase 4) Performance Rewarding and Development Planning, and each phases has smaller circle providing the major activities during each phases. The brown highlighted color text emphasizes another HRM area which is the Recruitment, Selection and Placement (RSP) which has arrows connecting to Phase 1 and Phase 3 showing interconnection to the activities during these phases. The purple highlighted color text also emphasizes one of the HRM areas, which is the Learning and Development (L&D) in which has arrows connecting to Phase 3 and 4 showing interconnection to the activities during these phases. The blue highlighted color text shows another HRM area with arrows connecting to Phase 2 and 4 illustrating interconnection to the activities during those phases. Further, the illustration shows that the four (4) HR areas were interconnected to each activity their respective phases linked. Herewith, the Framework illustrates that the Department’s PM policies, processes and competency requirements are linked with other core HRM areas.
