S2“He had no further intercourse with Spirits, but lived upon the total Abstinence Principle, ever afterwards; and it was always said of him, that he knew how to keep Christmas well, if any man alive possessed the knowledge. May that be truly said of all of u! And so, as Tiny Tim observed, God Bless us, Every One!” Identify what famous classic novel uses the quotation as its ending. Now both read and summarise the on line novel. OR. Complete a biography of the famous author detailing his life and identifying some of his greatest works. You may choose to do this as a leaflet or power-point presentation. Any key facts should be sourced. http://www.literature.org/authors/dickens-charles/christmas-carol/chapter-05.html

S1Winter is the season when the whole world seems to go to sleep. The weather is cold, the ground is hard, and the trees and plants seem to be dead. Since there is little else to do, it is a time that is conducive to working hard. There isn't much else to do, and the weather else seems to suggest that we must buckle down and do the things that we have been avoiding. This is not a bad thing. It can very satisfying to work hard and be creative. Creativity is part of our makeup. Without a purpose in our lives, depression would quickly set in. Task: Consider what winter means to you. Create a short text called: “My Winter”. You should use as much imagination as possible however you may wish to write a passage, a poem, create a mood board or make a short film. You can use the website to look at how other creators have tackled the topic of winter. Winter Poems - Poems about Winter http://www.familyfriendpoems.com/nature/winter-poems.asp#ixzz2Dc4wEG3b
