Complete list of things you should edit:

Add a name and a unique identifier to the Participants tab as people sign up

Edit each player's number of squares paid when they pay

Players can put in their unique identifiers into the grid

Change '#'s to actual digits after squares are claimed

Edit score for each team as it changes live (top left corner of Squares tab)

Edit the results table at the end of every quarter

Step 1: Recruit players and list them on the Participants tab

Settle on a price per square

Make sure participants have a unique identifier for their squares

Collect payment and track on the Participants tab

Don't edit the claimed squares column

Step 2: Share the sheet with your players

Make sure the sheet is editable by anyone you share it with

Have them enter their identifier in the number of squares they paid for, at random places

The number of squares they claim will update automatically in the Participants tab

Check Participants tab to sure the amount they paid matches the number of squares they claim

Format will be red if they overclaim, yellow if they underclaim, or green if correct

Step 3: Randomly assign numbers to rows and columns

Change sharing to be View Only for everyone else

Randomly assign digits 0-9 for rows and columns
