Describe the action steps the school/district will take to reduce the opportunity gap in student possession of ASB cards and/or participation in extracurricular activities for the up coming school year. Mountain View HS will use the Youth Truth Survey and the Sense of Belonging Survey to see if students express interest in activities at Mountain View HS. ASB cards are also promoted during our new freshmen orientation, assemblies, and club fairs with an emphasis on not letting barriers of the cost of purchasing ASB cards, or other student fees, prevent students from participating in school sanctioned activities. During the year, counselors and administrator identify all free and reduce lunch students that have not attained an ASB card. These students are given the opportunity to attain an ASB card at no cost.
