This album was going to be a "quick upload" to get me started to releasing Mr. Gee stuff again. Little did I know how much work I'd end up putting into it. And getting original art and graphic design help to make the project LOOK cool. I'm excited.

We worked on this for several years, many many Wednesday evenings for 2-3 hours, just finding sounds and flow. Michelle really had a vision that she pursued relentlessly! - Ben Eggehorn mixed this album. We recorded SO MANY TRACKS. It was also my first time sort of bringing together a "studio band" to play with another artist. It was awesome working with Mandy Adams and Lance Beckford, both total pros!

I had my song Eddie Vedder Told Me There'd Be Days Like This" on the FAWM album titled above. I am just about 90% sure this mix was by Garret Gengler who did an amazing job producing and mixing the insane output from my first two FAWMs. I love this song. I was super excited to be on this album with some amazing artists (who I still love and respect to this day). (this album is on Spotify)

I love the artwork for this EP. Straight outta The Outsiders. So many good memories recording with Mini over the years. We were still rocking myspace back then and I'm not sure if these recordings weren't done on my Roland VS 1680.

this was for Not Lame Records - I'm gonna be honest, I'm not sure how not lame they were. I'm looking back over the tracks and I don't recognize any of these artists (as I'm sure most people on there felt about track 9 "Breathing Room" by Pushstart wagon). There's no date on the CD anywhere, but it had to have come after the initial release of our record.

This is a worship CD release by Eric Shouse from when he worked at Monrovia Presyterian Church. He recorded a version of my song "Blessed Am I" from Joy and I's first cassette only release "Songs and Second Thoughts"

I loved this recording. For sure this was done on either the VS880 or the VS1680. Since it was 2001, I'd bet it was the 880. Lots of sm57s used for this. Lots of friends help add parts. This record has a beautiful soul to it. Sigh. Young and idealistic we were. And lots of time to do stuff.

Even Better Than The Real Thing A Tribute To U2

I just know this came out in 2001. And Joel Clelland played trumpet and Ben Eggehorn mixed. It was a fun recording to do. We shared CD space with Trespassers William, Jay Buchananan and Tunnel Fishin'. LOL. Crazy mix (as many local compilations can be).

Our song was Pride (In the Name of Love) and was Track 3 (this felt like quite an honor - there were some amazing songs on here!)

This was a sampler by Hero Recording (Bryan Ledbetter). Featured two songs from Friction Bailey's Tengo Yellow Pedal album: 12. I'm A Sucker (we didn't have the full title yet I guess) and 13. "Talk To Me"

This was an EP that we recorded in Y's garage (Viewcrest Home For Boys is what we called it in college). Andy Pricket set us up with a tape 2 track and showed us how to operate it. We set up mics and everything and recorded live. (I honestly can't remember if Andy stayed or left the machine with us). I do have memories of mixing in a loft in downtown Glendora in what at the time was Chris Suchanek's SB Management space. It was a COOL looking space. Lassie Foundation was recording something there around this time as well.

This was an interesting experience. We recorded at Ocean Way studio 2. We did "Weird" and "Tightrope Boy" and were on the same CD as The Recruits, The Autumns, Rumors of War, and...wait for it...The Crucified. Yeah. 18 year old me was STOKED about this. I think this demo helped in scoring our record deal with Brainstorm Artists International.

This was such an amazing night. I just absolutely loved it! It was a magical evening, an awesome location. Recorded by Eric Paulsen. All of our "hits" where performed and we jammed as long as we could...we may have been shut down by the cops. Can't remember.

this was all Joy and Merry Brown (now Merry Hill) back in the day. :) Don't know the exact date of release, but find 1993 inside the cover, so, I'm going with that. I imagine it was in the summer...but who knows?

cassette only - I think this maybe have just been something I recorded on my handheld radioshack recorder. I'd LOVE to transfer this...I may bust out the four track just to do this.
