It's also great for aspiring lawyers who want to learn more about the law and trial advocacy! It is a club in which students learn about the parts of court trial and are given a fictional legal case for which they have to memorize a script and put on a "mock" trial of the case. Think of a mock trial like a play of a court case - but this club is about more than just memorizing and delivering lines! We will discuss the components of a trial (like opening statements, direct examinations, cross examinations, and closing arguments) and how to be a great public speaker and convincing advocate while using the script as a guide.
