Transparenz 80%How do you assure that you only use organic cotton next to recycled cotton? - with the OSC blend standard the share of organic cotton only has to be 5% in a product - We found a lot of different information about your usage of organic cotton - Utopia for example mentions you use BCI Cotton - on your Website we found OSC and GOTS certified organic cottonRegarding our cotton, there seems to be some outdated information on the internet still, we will get in touch with utopia about this. On our website there should not be any claims about GOTS. If there are, please let us know where you have seen this and we will remove it. The problem with GOTS certification is that fabrics can only be certified if they have a very high amount of organic cotton. You may still be able to purchase cotton from GOTS certified sources, however you cannot certify the final fabric if you are below this threshold. In our case, our ultimate goal is to use the highest possible amount of recycled content. Still, we have decided that we only wish to use and communicate those certifications that are also available for our final fabrics. In this case OCS verifies both the presence and amount of organic material in the final fabric.

Yousstex was GOTS certified at the time of publishing the 2021 report, however they have experienced some delays regarding their upcoming recertification (not related to issues with the certification itself but other urgent projects). I am happy to forward their new certificate as soon as it is available again, which is expected to be in September.

During economic crises as well as environmental crises, are at least already ordered and produced goods paid for and accepted?Already ordered and produced goods are always paid for and accepted by us. During Covid we have also not cancelled any orders.

How do you ensure that discrimination and GBVH do not take place, what are the prevention measures Recover, Ferre and Tejidos Royo are based in Spain where they follow and are regulated against EU labour law. They are also certified to the UN Global Compact, a UN initiative working to advance labour rights, the environment and anticorruption in the business world. Two of our fabric production partners, Calik Denim and Bossa, are based in Turkey. Both are GOTS (can be found in the database), OCS and GRS certified. Our garment manufacturing partner Yousstex International regularly completes IWAY audits, which cover environmental, social, and working conditions. Apart from our Code of Conduct and third party audits, we regularly pay personal visits to our partner factories and also document this process for our audience.

We recently begun collaborations with two new supply chain partners (Bossa and Calik Denim, as well as their respective recycling partners). Apart from this, we have been working with all of our main supply chain partners for over 5 years and have not terminated our collaboration with any major partners in more than 5 years.
