STUDENT DRESS CODE AND APPEARANCE
2
Students are expected to wear their uniforms neatly and with pride. The school uniform is compulsory for all students. Please note that many parts of this section may be relevant to each child, depending on year group.
3
The School Mission and Values recognise the need for professionalism and the importance of building a community of learning through a shared identity and this School Dress Code is written in that spirit. The School aims to be contemporary in outlook while holding true to the Shrewsbury traditions of a successful community of learning.

It is an expectation that all students wear a school uniform chosen from the relevant list provided in this Policy whenever the student is at School or when representing the School in a wider context outside the School.

This Policy also outlines the rules which apply to hairstyles, jewellery and make-up.
4
Any individual requests to wear items other than those listed in this policy must be authorised by the relevant Vice Principal.
5
6
BEARDS & MOUSTACHES: Students should be clean shaven - unless they have been given the school's permission to wear a beard or moustache for a specific reason.
7
HAIRSTYLES: Hairstyles should avoid any excess of fashion or colour. In Early Years, long hair should be tied back. Students may be required to correct extreme hairstyles or colour.
8
MAKE-UP: Where students choose to wear make-up or nail varnish, it must be neutral and discreet and avoid any excess of fashion or colour.
9
JEWELLERY: Students may wear one plain stud in each earlobe only. Students will be required to remove additional piercings.
10
BAGS & SPORTSWEAR: School bags and school sportswear must be purchased from the School Shop. Only school sportswear to be worn for PE and sporting activities.
