SJA Northumberland (Cobourg area) is looking for good owners & great dogs to join our Therapy Dog Program! Our teams bring companionship and canine comfort to many facilities from Port Hope to Brighton including seniors’ residences, nursing homes, a regional hospital, schools, libraries, and residences for challenged adults. A unique volunteering experience to share with your best friend. Learn more about becoming a SJA Therapy Dog team at an orientation meeting on Saturday April 12 at 9:30 am. We are now building an addition to 22/24 University Ave in Cobourg!
The mandatory SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) training must be completed yearly by all volunteers and staff.
Please meet at the office located on the right side of the ReStore at 8:15am, where you will gear up for the day and receive further instructions. Start time is firm.There is no parking at the build site. This is outdoor work, and weather dependent, please dress accordingly, and in layers.

You must be 16 years or older to work on our build site, but we do have opportunities for volunteers of all demographics. We welcome all levels of ability.

Community Works of Hamilton Township - Bewdley Food BankThe food bank in Hamilton Township (in operation since 2006) is located in the Bewdley Community Centre.
