Organisations that accept fossil-fuel funding are well-intentioned, believing they'll use the funding for good. However, the positive impact is outweighed by the harm of delaying the urgently needed energy transition.

As author Tim Winton said at the 2022 Perth Festival, accepting fossil fuel sponsorships "doesn't make us bad people but it does make us chumps.
