This spreadsheet is a (continuing) compilation of advice from past physics majors and more about physics classes and other classes found in the university. We'd like to have comments on professors in general and classes from all technical options and more so that future physics majors have more informed decisions on planning their future semesters. Please do not write your name, as this spreadsheet is public.

Different professors for the same course will be listed in different colours, with their name and colour hue above the comments. For example, for PHYS 325 + 326, professors are listed in greyscale and comments about the course are colour-coded based on professor taken. The colour coding is not necessarily representative of the general opinion of the professor.

I love Naomi. You’ll make a ton of friends in this course if you go to office hours on Sunday, and Naomi takes time to actually get to know you. Her class is well organized, and she is definitely one of the best professors I have ever had. You come into 325 thinking “ew, more 211 problems,” but you’ll come out of 326 saying “I have a deep respect for classical mechanics.”He is fine for the course, he spends too much time explaining the math and fails to really explain the physics that is happening. He can also be a bit boring at times and has a superpower of making people quiet during lecture.

Feel free to comment on any course you wish (we could always use more advice to bestow on young fresh grasshoppers)! To do so, simply make a comment on an empty cell underneath a course title, like we've shown above. Please note that these comments will be public: we love candid opinions, but we're not fine with clowning / trolling on the spreadsheet. If necessary, we will create a form instead to approve comments individually.

As a general rule of thumb, mention what professor you took the class with, how you felt about their lectures, homeworks, exams, and what you got out of the course. This spreadsheet is public, so do not write your name.

If there's a course you wish to comment on that isn't listed in the sheets or doesn't have its own cell, comment on this block of cells with the course and your comment.
