Welcome! This is a sign up sheet to volunteer to help curate the @FemEdTech Twitter account and help us grow the network #femedtech. This is a volunteer effort and all information in this sheet is publicly accessible. If you wish to contact the current volunteer curator, please contact them via Twitter; their Twitter DM will be in Femedtech Twitter profile https://twitter.com/femedtech. Use the "Volunteers" tab to add your details. If you offer to be a curator for an agreed 2 weeks, you will be contacted by the previous curator a few days before your curation. While you are being @femedtech, we encourage that you add your own twitter handle, and any other information you wish to the profile as the current guest curator. What we recommend is that you check @femedtech , #femedtech once a day or more. Encouraging others who post to #femedtech, and following those who interact with #femedtech and/or @femedtech will hopefully help to grow the network of people and ideas. We love work/life balance at #femedtech so feel free to take a break whenever you like. You might also like to retweet things posted to #femedtech from your own personal Twitter id, as that could also amplify the network. Of course you can follow (from @femedtech) those who tweet interesting stuff to #femedtech and that will also grow the femedtech network. Other ideas? If you have any other ideas, post them to #femedtech or email us at femedtech@gmail.com - this is a community-led effort and we are always keen to hear from you about what we might do to develop our network.

thoughts on curation from @helenbeetham (Aug-Sept 2019 - previously curated in 2018)

After a couple of trolling incidents with high profile followers (embarrassing) I think we should check every new follower and block any that are suspicious e.g. protect their own tweets, have no followers or twitter history, or hv far right memes in their twitter stream. I've also been welcoming new followers personally, but not always following them back, unless their twitter stream is relevant i.e. more professional/political than personal. As a curator I've found there is an awful lot of personal twitter to wade through in trying to identify good issues to RT. Other curators may feel differently about this.
