If you are unable to restore internet access to the Floodgate or if restoring access does not update the license, you will need to contact VideoPropulsion Support.|
|Why are my streams down or pixilating?||There are many reasons streams go down:|
Bad weather in the area: If there is bad weather in an area, you may need to wait for it to clear before streams begin to resume. You may also want to check receiver signal strength to confirm that the signal is bad.
RF network issues: Problems in the RF network can cause signal problems at the televisions. In order to test whether or not you have an RF network issue or to pinpoint an issue, you will want to troubleshoot the RF network with a QAM meter.
TV Issues: Televisions themselves can also be the cause of a lack of video. Make sure your channel mappings are correct and that the televisions are enabled for your encryption type.
Satellite Dish Allignment: If a satellite dish becomes misaligned, receiver signal strength will drop. This may cause receivers to be unable to tune to particular channels. There are many things that can cause dish alignment problems including: rooftop maintenance work and fast gusts of wind.
Other receiver issues: There are a multitude of problems that receivers can exhibit that will cause streams to go down. Make sure that the receiver is authorized for the channel it is streaming and that it has the most up to date software available. You may also need to power cycle the receiver.
Other hardware issues: Sometimes other network hardware can struggle as well. If your issues affect all receivers, you may want to power cycle the receiver switch.
|Why is my new configuration not working?||In order to use a new configuration file, you first need to 'Activate' the file. Next, the Floodgate service must be restarted (Admin -> Restart Service).|
|(DISH) I have disabled a receiver, but I do not see it in the OpenEPG receiver select dropdown menu. Why is this?||In newer versions of software, only a singer tuner on the receiver needs to be disabled for EPG. If the entire receiver is disabled, you won't be able to select it as an EPG receiver.|
