April 26, 20241:00-5:00 p.m.Title: Ethical Issues in Assessing and Managing Suicide Risk and Coping with the Aftermath of Client Suicide by Dr. Meredith Griffin, PsyDDr. Meredith Griffin is presenting a training on ethical considerations for working with families and loved ones following a suicide. This training is held in conjunction with the Nebraska LOSS Team conference in Beatrice, NE.

National and local statistics regarding suicide rates
Preventative factors of suicide
Evidence-based assessment and management of suicide risk
Grieving the loss of a client to suicide
Limits of confidentiality
Developments in suicidology including physician-assisted suicide for mental health diagnoses

April 27, 20248:00 a.m.This is the annual Nebraska LOSS Team Conference. The LOSS Team is to support those who have experienced a suicide loss. This conference will provide training for LOSS Team members, mental health professionals, EMS, funeral directors, and anyone else who supports those grieving after a suicide loss. The conference starts with a keynote speaker, two break-out sessions, multi-disciplinary team panel, and LOSS Team networking.
Light breakfast (8:00am), box lunch (11:45am), and snack (3:00pm) for Saturday will be provided.

Cost for the Event is:
LOSS Team members or do not require CEUs - $25 for both days
Saturday only with CEUs $40.00
Both Friday (Ethics) and Saturday with CEUs- $50.00
