12/12/2017 18:06:18John I. John I.)73192.5"Really sexy, deep dark toro with a twist of tobacco at the head. " -John I. (John I.)87.5"A little sweet barnyard aroma." -John I. (John I.)95Medium-StrongMedium-Full"Off to a great start upon lighting. Seems pretty potent right out of the gate. Lots of bright pepper and rich earthy flavor. Leave a nice tingly burn on the retrohale. Once things warm up some, there are some slightly sweet notes of dried fruit but the power isn't diminished. The only downside is that the draw seems slightly compromised. It's taking a little work to keep it going. I'm keeping hope alive that we burn through the issue. Toward the end of the third the draw continues to be problematic, and it's canoeing pretty significantly. Construction seemed really nice initially, but things are falling apart pretty quickly. " -John I. (John I.)82.5Medium-StrongMedium-Full"I began the second third with a pretty heavy touch up to attempt to correct the burn. All of the issues with attempting to correct the cigar has certainly been a distraction and has taken away from focusing on the flavor. Excessive drawing to keep this lit has also heated the cigar up significantly and has definitely resulted in some harshness. The initial correction with a lighter seemed like it might get things back on track, but mid way through the middle third the canoeing has started again. " -John I. (John I.)87.5Medium-StrongMedium-Full"OK, so by the start of the finish the burn has corrected, and the draw is much better. Maybe there is still some hope here. Unfortunately despite the return to form construction wise has not left much in the flavor department. Despite resting, and purging this cigar the harshness and bitterness resulting from efforts to correct the burn has pretty thoroughly trashed this experience." -John I. (John I.)77.5"The draw was noticeably off from the early stages. It started and finished acceptably, but the issues during the middle of this smoke were significant. " -John I. (John I.)82.5"Again the middle portion of this cigar with the canoeing was really unsatisfactory. " -John I. (John I.)82.5"As noted, the construction issues here pretty thoroughly trashed this cigar experience. " -John I. (John I.)80"I wish "disappointing" were an option here. I think there were some potentially good things going on here that weren't accessible due to really significant issues with construction. It's a shame. 1/4/2018 20:53:58Alan Eulogy)73195"Very attractive cigar. The wrapper has a slight sheen, delicate veins, and is dark brown that is slightly oily to the touch. There is a well applied double cap with a stiff pig tail. " -Alan (Eulogy)92.5"The wrapper itself has a dry hay and tobacco aroma. The predraw has a nice white pepper, rich tobacco, and oily mouth feel. " -Alan (Eulogy)95Medium-StrongMedium-Full"There's an extreme level of oily pepper on the draw. It's not enough to overpower the rest of the flavors but it's aggressive and keeps your attention. The notes of rich tobacco are pleasant after the pepper settles on the back of the tongue. There's not a lot of flavors that are being produced but the strength and richness of flavors keep it exciting. " -Alan (Eulogy)95Medium-StrongMedium"The construction and smoke output is topnotch. The pepper has backed off a little from the first third but still has a strong upfront presence that backs off and allows the rich tobacco and leather flavors balance out the finish. " -Alan (Eulogy)95MediumMedium"The final third is far more mellow than the first two thirds. Pepper still coats the back of the tongue. The forward notes of leather, pepper, and wood are much more pronounced since the almost extreme level of pepper has tapered off a bit. " -Alan (Eulogy)95"There's an excellent level of smoke produced and the draw is near perfect with just the right amount of resistance. " -Alan (Eulogy)97.5"I used one match to light this cigar and it has burned razor sharp though out requiring no touchups or relights. " -Alan (Eulogy)97.5"Beautifully constructed. The wrapper is seamless, the pigtail cap gave it a distinct and classy look, and the cigar itself was tightly rolled with no soft spots or imperfections. " -Alan (Eulogy)95"One of the best cigars that I have smoked in awhile. 1/17/2018 7:19:30Dave W. mdwest)73192.5"Nearly invisible seams, a beautiful chocolate colored wrapper, and a tight pigtail cap grab your attention pretty quickly when you first see this stick. It's an attractive cigar. Hopefully it smokes as good as it looks. " -Dave W. (mdwest)87.5"Something of an odd aroma that is full of wet earth and moss comes off the foot of this cigar pre-light. It's scent reminds me of walking in the woods in the pacific northwest after a heavy rain. " -Dave W. (mdwest)87.5MediumMedium"The smoke starts out a bit harsh for the first inch or so, but mellows out pretty quickly. The stick provides a lot of front end loaded flavor and a short, crisp finish, with dark chocolate and pepper notes dominating the profile. " -Dave W. (mdwest)90MediumMedium"As I progress into the second third, the cigar continues to mellow and smooth out. The pepper notes that were bold and defined in the first third are almost completely gone by the time I reach the mid point of the stick. " -Dave W. (mdwest)90MediumMedium"Other than continuing to mellow and smooth out to an almost silky textured smoke, there are no detectable changes from the second to the final third, with the strength and flavor profile remaining the same. " -Dave W. (mdwest)97.5"A no kidding nearly perfect draw. One of the best I have experienced in a very long time. " -Dave W. (mdwest)90"This stick provided consistent combustion from beginning to end and required zero maintenance. The cigar produced a surprisingly dark and flaky appearing ash, but the ash had no problem holding on for lengths up to 2" despite being constantly shook around while I took this smoke on an afternoon walk. " -Dave W. (mdwest)92.5"Aesthetically pleasing and solid performance tell me this was a well constructed cigar. No complaints here at all. " -Dave W. (mdwest)92.5"Overall a very pleasant stick. Once it started mellowing out a little bit the cigar became a very nice smoke. This is one I'll be looking at more closely after the reveal, and would consider a box purchase on if the price is right. " -Dave W. (mdwest)9300000001011
