NOTE: The Green Shaded Cells are automatically calculated. Do not modify.

You do not need to request Edit Permissions for this spreadsheet!
You don't want those anyway, this is a template for many people to use. You want your own copy. Click on 'File' above and select 'Make a Copy.' Then you can delete all the stuff you don't want and create your own version with your captain information in it.

Overall Notes:
1. For more information on how to use this spreadsheet, watch the accomanying YouTube video from Clyde here: https://youtu.be/y7B_Bankxcs
2. Each row in the table below represents a captain.
3. A captain should be assigned to a single tech tree ship. Do this by typing the name of the tech tree ship in the 'Tech Tree Ship' column.
4. Captains can also be assigned to 'cohorts' of premium or special ships. Do this using the drop-down lists in the Cohort Columns labeled 'DD Cohort', 'BB Cohort' etc.
5. These instructions are split into a few rows so you can hide sections you don't need anymore by hiding the rows.
4
Inserting New Rows/Captains:
There are plenty of rows for most players, you may delete unused rows and later decide you need to insert a new captain. Use the following steps to do it correctly:
1 - Right click on the row numbers on the left-hand side of the spreadsheet and select "+ Insert one row above" or "+ Insert one row below"
2 - Once your new row has been inserted, drag or copy the values in the
Cohort Ships, Needed, Comp %, DD Cohort, CA/CL Cohort, BB Cohort, CV Cohort, and SS Cohort columns down to the newly inserted row.
3 - Select the commander Type in the
Type column.
4 - Type in the name of the tech tree ship the commander is assigned to (if any) in the
Tech Tree Ship column.
5 - Type the number of commander points (the commander level) in the
Points column.
6 - Type the commander's name into the
Captain column.
7 - Select the country of the commander from the
Country column's drop down.
8 - Add the commander's current experience points to the
XP column.
9 - Select the commander's assigned Cohorts from the
Cohort columns.
5
Column Descriptions
Country - The nationality of the captain. Can be used for filtering.

Type - This column indicates if this captain is special in some way. There are four values here, Unique, Seasoned, Multi-Nation, and Normal. Select the one that corresponds to your commander using the drop down list.

Tech Tree Ship - In this column type the name of the tech tree ship this captain is assigned to. A captain should be assigned to exactly one tech tree ship.

Cohort Ships - This cell lists the ships from the selected ship cohorts. Its contents will be automatically populated based on the selections made in the cohort columns on the right. Do not type in this column. It is automatically populated.

Captain - The name of the captain. Every captain name should be unique! If you have two "Archibald Paul" captains, consider uniquely identifying them with a number or something (example: "Archibald Paul 1" and "Archibald Paul 2.")

Level - The number of points this captain has earned so far. This cell is used with a lookup table to determine how many points are required for their next level.

XP - The current amount of XP this captain has towards their next level.

Needed - This cell tells you how many experience points you need to earn to get the next point on this captain. NOTE: Do not type in this column. This cell is automatically calculated.

% - This cell is used to indicate how close this captain is to their next point and is represented as a percentage. NOTE: Do not type in this column. This cell is automatically calculated.

XP to 21 (K) - this is the number of thousands of XP needed to push this commander from their current level to level 21.

DD Cohort - Use this cell to assign one of the configured cohorts to your commander. Doing so will automatically add the ships in this cohort to your 'Cohort Ships' cell.
CA/CL Cohort - Use this cell to assign one of the configured cohorts to your commander. Doing so will automatically add the ships in this cohort to your 'Cohort Ships' cell.
BB Cohort - Use this cell to assign one of the configured cohorts to your commander. Doing so will automatically add the ships in this cohort to your 'Cohort Ships' cell.
CV Cohort - Use this cell to assign one of the configured cohorts to your commander. Doing so will automatically add the ships in this cohort to your 'Cohort Ships' cell.
SS Cohort - Use this cell to assign one of the configured cohorts to your commander. Doing so will automatically add the ships in this cohort to your 'Cohort Ships' cell.
6
Optional Hidden Columns. These columns are hidden by default, but some players may want them.
Voice - This column indicates if the captain has a custom voice pack. Select Yes if they do, No if they don't. Feel free to hide this column if you don't care about this.
Visual - This column indicates if hte captain has custom artwork. Select Yes if they do, No if they don't. Feel free to hide this column if you don't care about this.
Class - Type in the class of the assigned tech tree ship. This column can be useful for sorting and filtering.
Tier - Type in the tier of the assigned tech tree ship. This column can be useful for sorting and filtering.
Target - This column is used to indicate the intended top tier ship for this captain (T10 or Supership), or left blank if this commander is not going to be used on a top tier ship. This column can be useful for filtering to commanders you are prioritizing for leveling. For example, if your captain is currently assigned to Richelieu, but is destined to command the Republique, you'd put "Republique" in this box. Of course, you may feel free to hide this column if you don't care about this.
