CLICK FILE > MAKE A COPY > SAVE in your Google Drive folder that you have shared with me

There are 4 tabs in this spreadsheet that you can complete: cover, income, expenses, home office and cents per KM.
This spreadsheet is for expenses incurred in relation to sole trader activity.

GST info is in a separate tab so if anything confuses you, have a read of that or let us know.

Record actual income in the Income tab.

If you are accounting on a CASH basis then record all income received.
If you are accounting on an ACCRUAL bases, then record income charged/earned (invoiced) even if not received in full yet.
If you are not sure, that is ok! Fill everyting in and we can help you figure out the right amount to declare.

Record actual expenses in the Expenses tab.

Record hours worked from home in the Home Office tax.

If you want to apply the % of floor space method instead, then
a) upload to the drive a copy of your floor plan with measurements, and the office/work space marked and
b) in the Expenses tab record the rent and bills in FULL

We will then calculate how much of those expenses to claim in the tax return for you.

Record KMs travelled in your car for work (employment) purposes in the Cents per KM tab.
Do not include from home to place of business and back though!

If you have a full log-book, then upload a copy to the Drive, and then fill in the Expenses tab with the car expenses in FULL.
