This file contains the underlying data for the 2025 OurCare National Survey: Provincial and Territorial Variation report. Survey results in both the report and this file are organized around the six elements of the OurCare Standard. Each worksheet corresponds to a figure in the report and is named to reflect the relevant element number and concept.

Methods

The 2025 OurCare National Survey explored how adults’ experiences with primary care align with the OurCare Standard, a framework describing what everyone in Canada should be able to expect from primary care.

Data were collected online between April 16 and November 20, 2025 in English, French and Inuktitut. Participants were adults aged 18 or older living in Canada, recruited through online panels and public outreach. Of 22,832 respondents, we analyzed 16,876 completed surveys.

Data were weighted to reflect the adult population in the respective region. National and provincial weights accounted for sex, age, education, region, language spoken at home, Canadian-born status, and race. Territorial weights accounted for sex, age, education, and Indigenous identity.

The survey is part of the OurCare initiative, a national initiative to engage patients and the public on the future of primary care in Canada. More information on OurCare along with reports summarizing key survey results and methods are available at OurCare.ca.
