Constructing standard piggery sheds with proper fencing, controlled entry points, adequate drainage, and sanitation facilities significantly reduces the risk of disease transmission. To enhance waste collection, procurement of one additional waste collection vehicle and a JCB is therefore proposed to improve operational efficiency, ensure proper landfill maintenance and sustain effective waste management services.

Additionally, aging infrastructure and pipelines frequently require repair and replacement to ensure uninterrupted water supply. Grafting and rehabilitation is a cost effective intervention to rejuvenate and high yielding varieties without complete replantation. Immediate intervention is required to replace the damaged concrete tiles with Corrugated Galvanized Iron (CGI) sheets to prevent further damage and ensure the longevity of the hospital buildings. Currently, the Dzongkhag provides waste collection services to Lakhu only once a month, while Samdhingkha does not receive any collection service at all. Due to this lack of regular waste collection, residents often resort to burning waste or illegally dumping it in nearby areas, leading to environmental problems such as forest fires, air pollution, and land pollution. Therefore, the establishment of a waste drop-off centre is essential to support proper waste management in these communities. The drop-off centre will allow residents to safely store and dispose of their waste until it is collected by waste collection vehicles. This initiative will also respond to the growing public demand for improved waste management services in rural areas and help reduce environmental pollution while promoting cleaner and healthier communities.
