Please be advised that the Co-chairs have now confirm a morning hearing with Major groups and other stakeholders for Monday morning 9-10. They will debrief you on where the negotiations stand and hear from you on your overal reaction to the Zero draft. Please indicate names and contact info of proposed speakers in sheet "Monday Overall reaction to Zero Draft"
2
Preparation for Major Groups and other stakeholder contribution to OWG 12
3
Please add Nominee(s) to lead on each of the goals. NOTE that we still do not have a Program of Work, but know we will have morning hearings. Therefore, we can start preparation and online consultation based on the issued zero draft. Please create a new row for each nomination of lead authors. For contributors you can include your email only. If you agree with the final draft of the amendments, include the name of your organization in the Signatories column
4
According to the letter from the Co-Chairs, comments on the goals and targets should use concise and final language, which will facilitate timely agreements. It will be particularly important that we limit the amount of text and the size of the document particularly with regard to the number of targets. In accordance with para 247 of the Rio+20 outcome document which, inter alia, states that the SDGs should be action-oriented, concise, easy to communicate, limited in number, aspirational, global in nature and universally applicable to all countries while taking into account different national realities, capacities and levels of development and respecting national policies and priorities.
