Description -Stay connected with the activist community to see what's brewing. Promote the activist mission within the band. Represent the band in media interviews.Screen gig requests to see if they meet the band mission, coordinate times & locations, negotiate payment. Post gig details on the Gig-o-matic. Stay connected with local festivals (Porchfest, Sacred and Profane, Resurgam, HONK, etc.). Work with Mayo Street to continue to secure rehearsal space in return for musical performances.File and organize online resources for band members and edit for accuracy (e.g., sheet music, recordings, repertoire)Promote community membership and diversity within the band. Send weekly update on band happenings, gigs, rehearsals, etc.Direct songs during gigs and rehearsals and work on trouble spots. Keep an eye on the Gig-o-matic and contact members to fill missing parts or line up gig leaders. Lead slower lessons for beginners or new members. Bring the bass drum to every rehearsal.Come up with ideas for creative additions to songs (e.g., vocals, harmonies, choreo). Gather new song nominations and poll the group for final selections. Lead sessions in music theory during rehearsal.Post content to Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc. Look for mentions and respond in comments. Update the website with new information, photos, etc.Order hats & ribbons and assemble. Prepare tee shirt graphics, gather orders, and send to the printer. Distribute tee shirts and collect money. Design and order stickers and other materials.Send W9s and deposit checks for gigs. Gather receipts and file taxes for the band. Gather organization nominations for the annual donation and poll the group for final selection. Make donations.
