EventsTo hold two major events, 4 termly events and a number of regular weekly events. Parents Quiz Night
50 parents attend, £10 per ticket.
- Kids Disco 100 kids attend, make £5 profit per child. £500
- Easter Shop Sell 150 Easter Gift Bags at £5 profit. £750
- Ice Lolly Fridays. Sell 100 ice lollies for 50p profit every Friday. £200- Summer Fair Aim for £3000 profit from tickets, raffle, games, sales etc.
- Icy Lolly Fridays £200
- End of term disco for the kids. Aim for £1,000 profit by selling food and soft drinks, selling glow sticks ad doing a photo booth.
- End of term dinner and dance for the parents. Ask for donations at this event - maybe hold a silent auction. Aim for £2,500 in donations.

Planning To plan out the year in detail and to write down how you do it - to hand onto the next person. Make sure at the beginning of the year you have a strategy document - and refer back to it. Review existing policies and instructions eg Fair Planning, Labelling for food products sold, Gift Aid Collection, Communications Plans, Social Media Admins etc. Update any policies that no longer make sense and add extras in.

Going the Extra MileTo go above and beyondHow does the relationship between the PTA, teacher body and senior staff team look? think about ways to strengthen these relationships. Connect with local businesses. Make a list and approach them - well before you might want raffle prizes for the Summer Fair. If you haven't ever tried to apply to a Trust or Foundation - have a go. Meet with you local councillor to talk about the educational needs of the raea and where you school fits in. Get some support from them. Connect with the person responsible for marketing and school admissions and see how you can work together.
