The Kellogg Garden Planting Charts detail the most common plants successfully grown in each zone, with planting and harvesting information for USDA Hardiness Zones 1 - 10. You may find plants that are not listed in our charts can be grown in your area or that plants that we list can be started earlier or due to weather can't be started until later. Through the use of hoophouses, row covers, indoor seed starting and growing, greenhouses, and varying microclimates gardeners can successfully start plants earlier or grow plants that are not traditionally grown in their area. Check on the back of seed packets, plan around local weather changes, and reach out to fellow local gardeners and resources before planting. Make adjustments to the charts to fit your microclimate and/or growing preferences.
