Amherst CollegeAccess to Amherst (A2A) - formerly called Diversity Open House (DIVOH)As part of Amherst College's commitment to diversity, the Office of Admission will be hosting Access to Amherst (A2A) - formerly called Diversity Open House (DIVOH) - in the fall to introduce prospective applicants to Amherst's campus, student body, faculty, and classes. A2A is available to all prospective students, but the selection committee prioritizes the invitation of students from traditionally underrepresented groups, such as African-American, Hispanic/Latinx American, Native American, and Asian-American backgrounds, as well as first-generation students. To support socioeconomic diversity, the selection committee will also prioritize students from families with limited financial resources, regardless of cultural or racial background. Those are priorities for participation, but are not meant to imply any exclusivity regarding the program or selection process. Should you have an interest in attending, we encourage you to apply no matter your demographic or economic background.In-Personhttps://www.amherst.edu/admission/diversity/a2a

Bard CollegeFly-In ProgramBard’s “Fly-In” Program aims to support high school juniors and seniors within the New York metro area who are unable to visit Bard College’s Annandale-on-Hudson, NY campus due to financial constraints. While students must be able to get to Moynihan Train Hall near Penn Station on their own, this program will provide meal accommodations, a train ticket, and other accommodations that may be required to visit Bard’s campus.
Within the Counselor's Nomination Form, there is detailed information that will assist you in learning more about your students’ eligibility for these programs. Counselors are able to nominate up to three students for Bard's "Fly-in" Program. The offices of Admission and Equity and Inclusion will follow up with all nominated students.
There are three qualifications a student must meet for admission into HEOP:
- A student must be a resident of New York State.
- A student is eligible if he or she is not admissible under Bard's regular admission guidelines due to an under-resourced academic background. This standard changes each year as Bard adapts to the national standards of each year's high school graduating class.
- A student is eligible if he or she meets the financial criteria for economic disadvantage set by the New York State Education Department (NYSED). See chart below for details.

Denison UniversityDialogue with Denison (DWD)Dialogue with Denison (DWD) is a program where a select group of prospective high school seniors will get the opportunity to engage with our campus community and discuss important topics with Denison student leaders, learn about our academic programs, explore multicultural student life, and hear from multicultural alumni. It ultimately gives prospective students a chance to connect with each other, learn more about Denison, and explore multicultural student life on a predominately white campus.

DWD helps students learn more about Denison and multicultural life on campus while providing the foundation to build connections with Denison students and high school seniors from across the country. Additionally, DWD is a selective program, and historically the students who have participated in the program have had a higher rate of admission than the general applicant pool. That does not mean that those who are not selected for DWD will be at a disadvantage in the admissions process, but rather those that are selected and choose to join the DWD will be very competitive applicants.

Franklin & Marshall CollegeCollegiate Leadership SummitFranklin & Marshall College invites high achieving high school students from diverse backgrounds with a strong history of leadership to participate in the Collegiate Leadership Summit (CLS). A first in F&M’s history, CLS is an online, interactive program designed to help students explore their leadership abilities as they transition to a college environment. Delegates will also demonstrate their leadership skills through an F&M admission interview, and workshops about the F&M college application process.
In order to be considered, all candidates must:
- Be currently enrolled in high school, completing their senior year.
- Have a minimum GPA of 3.3 in rigorous classes
- Be of a background underrepresented in higher education
- Have demonstrated leadership in their school or community

Our students, staff, and faculty come from a wide variety of geographic areas, socioeconomic backgrounds, racial and ethnic identities, sexual orientation, and ability. As an institution, we want to show you first-hand how we make our communities inclusive and supportive of this diversity.
Students taking part in Your GW will be part of a small mentorship group led by GW Admissions Staff Members, and current GW Students from our Dean’s Council for Multicultural Recruitment. Mentorship groups will meet every week during the program to guide students through the admissions process. Our mentors will be there to help students answer any and all questions they have about applying to college and how to adjust within their first year.

University of PennsylvaniaPenn Early Exploration Program (PEEP)PEEP is a preview of academic and social life at the University of Pennsylvania for high school seniors. This program will provide students with the opportunity to learn more about our campus and community while also supporting attendees in strengthening their applications to selective institutions like Penn. This program is especially geared towards students with a particular interest in programming and support services for historically underrepresented populations in higher education, including but not limited to first-generation and/or low-income students. In a typical year, Penn Admissions would fully fund the cost of food, housing, and round-trip transportation to Philadelphia for participating students. Though the experience will be different this year, we are excited to make it helpful and meaningful for all who participate.
