Great little bar run by just a cute elderly couple, so you have to be patient while here. Cash only. Best Mai Tai I've ever had. Very special style of cocktails & ice cream cocktails. Not the type of spot you make a regular, but one definitely worth going to for special occasions or when you're mood for something a little different. A little more expensive than most, but such a great bang for your buck. Most people don't drink more than 2 of their cocktails.

Beans and BarleyDelicious, very healthy food with a cute grocery store attached. Their black bean dip is my absolute favorite. You really cannot go wrong with any choice made here. Their menu includes vegan and vegetarian options.
21
Bel Air CantinaAwesome taco bar with modern architecture and fun vibe.

23
Black SheepThis place has definitely been hot since it opened. They have an automated wine bar. Their chef is excellent. I believe the chef used to work at the Noble which earned an excellent reputation while he was there. And, the menu strangely consists of gourmet hot dogs. Wine and hot dogs, an interesting pairing.
24
Blue's EggI didn't know "gourmet diner fare" was a thing, but Blue's Egg made it happen. Think saffron brioche french toast with chocolate covered bacon and the most amazing, hangover-curing curly fries. Oh, and bonus: They have gluten-free substitutions for NO UPCHARGE.
25
Blue Star CafeOutstanding cheap Somali cuisine. Try the goat platter.

Bryant's Cocktail LoungeI cannot say enough wonderful things about this place. For starters, it was voted best bar by Esquire magazine last year, so let's start with letting that settle in. BEST BAR IN THE NATION. Okay, this bar does not have a menu and it is not your typical bar. The atmosphere is dark and tempting, with wonderful mid-1900's music always playing. All of the bartenders are very creative and know what they're working with. The waitresses will come and ask you what flavors your in the mood for, what alcohol you like and then make recommendations based on your responses. You can hardly go wrong if you tell them exactly what you want. Also, there are few nights a week that they have deals on Depression-era drinks. If you're in Walker's Point, or even any nearby neighborhood, make a stop. You won't be disappointed.

Cafe BeneluxThis is part of the Hollander/Trocadero chain. Excellent european beer choices. They have a rooftop bar and I've found it to be an excellent place for breakfast/brunch. Personally, I think their bloodies are the best in milwaukee, competition and awards aside.Ask for Mark. And then ask him to make you a bier flight. You won't be disappointed. 3rd Ward

Camp BarDefinitely feels like you're up north but you only need to go as far north as shorewood. Wood everything, antlers, good beer, several bars, and comfy couches if you lucky enough to snag one. They don't serve food on site but they have an interesting setup that allows you to text an order and have it show up at your table. Think they've expanded recently or will expand soon.

Comet Cafe (all you can eat bacon)Delicious. All you can eat bacon is on Sundays with an alcohol purchase. Amazing vegetarian and vegan options. Owned by the same people as Honeypie/Palomino. They also serve cupcakes and pie that are delivered every morning from Honeypie. Weekend brunch menu is more extensive than regular menu, but all options are delicious and portions are huge.

Iron Horse HotelStayed here once even though I live a mile away just to see what it ws like. It was phenomenal. They have sick modern design rooms with a rustic feel to them. They have two bars/restaurants, one with outside seating and the occasional live music. The bartenders are top notch so if you're looking for that rare drink made well, go here. They also have a really cool american rustic library that they encourage people to study at, guest or not.

La CageSeems like your normal gay club. They do have a couple diffrent bars so you aren't stuck just at one. They have an outside smoking area. There's definitely cages that guys climb into and dance. If you're looking for a new experience and are comfortable with your sexuality, this should at least stop off for a drink. I would probably only go with gay friends or my girlfriend personally.
