On a scale from 1 to 5, how satisfied are you with the current safety measures on the Rutgers campus?
How likely are you to use a safety app for reporting live incidents on campus?
What types of incidents do you believe should be reportable through the app? (e.g., theft, assault, vandalism)
Do you think there should be a system for anonymous reporting to protect the privacy of users reporting incidents?
Would you be more likely to use the app if it offered a feature to share real-time updates on ongoing incidents with your contacts or social networks?
How frequently do you think you would use the app to report incidents or check for updates?
In your opinion, what would be the most effective way to ensure accountability and discourage false reporting within the app?
How do you feel about the idea of a community moderation system where users can validate or invalidate incident reports?
Are you concerned about the potential misuse of the app for false reports or pranks?
What level of involvement do you envision for law enforcement or campus security in the app’s reporting and response process?
Do you have any suggestions for incentives or rewards that could encourage responsible reporting behavior?
How important is it for you to have the option to filter incident reports based on your location or specific areas of interest on campus?
What features or tools would you find most useful for personal safety within the app? (e.g., emergency contact buttons, location sharing)
Are there any additional comments or concerns you’d like to share regarding the safety app and its functionality?
How would you prefer to receive notifications and updates from the safety app? (Push notifications, email alerts, SMS messages, or other, please specify)
Do you think there should be a user rating or feedback system for the effectiveness of reported incident resolutions?
Are you comfortable with the app utilizing your device’s location services to provide real-time updates on incidents and your proximity to them?

If possible, picture evidence but for the most part, this is to keep people SAFE so the honor system. Let’s be honest, RUPD barely investigates crimes anyways.
PositiveNoLow
Ban users for valid false reports or pranks. But ultimately, I’m unsure why people wouldn’t take things like this seriously.
Very important
Definitely location sharing or emergency contact buttons that look like regular buttons. Maybe a filming function that’s quick and easy to get to that sends evidence right to emergency services.
The main thing is that it needs to be quick to access, easy to use and fast at reporting crimes and alerting RUPD. A video or picture function would be great.
