Book cover design by Joe Greenfield$250x Curious of why we had a family member do this job? Because he has the skills, the availability on a short time frame and we can trust that he'll do the job. Market rate was quoted at $1,500. And with full transparency we like to hire people close to us to distribute the funds within the community, whether that is colleagues, friends or family. As long as they are right for the task at hand.x

Creating ecommerce site - Rikki Ocampos$2,000x Transparency note: The ecommerce site was difficult to create because of the unusual system we created including the choose your own donation system and the ability to order anything at no cost. Creating the ecommerce system ended up being a substantially larger task than planned and then we dealth with months of technical difficulties. Fortunately most of the technical difficulties were taken care of by volunteers as well as many hours by Robin. The ecommerce setup has potentially tuned out to be an ineffective usage of funds.x

Admin expenses up to publishing$1,200(Managing the Indiegogo, doing research and self-publishing research - Seba and Belle in 2022 / Finding printing company - Joe Greenfield in early 2023 /Working with printer to get everything set up - Emer in 2023 / Cover design and working with printer to decide paper, etc. - Tori.
The whole process of researching in order to print with the highest integrity added up to many hours. Quite a few of the hours for this were done by volunteers. The $1,200 spent here is a fraction of the labor it took in publishing this book.

% donated4%A note of our hopes for funds coming in:
We hope for this percentage to go up to 20% or more. We have distributed a large quantity of boxes of books to our Food Freedom Ambassadors and to some Distributors and we are hopeful that donations will come in as they are distributed through these outlets. We also hope that as people who already have received the book will complete reading it and they will be inspired and donate. We also hope that our eBook will generate funds long after we run out of paperback copies. We are setting up our Google Ads Grant now giving the ebook away as a gift and hope that this can generate some meaninful funding. As of 12/13 we only have ~80 of the 5,000 from the first printing left in stock at Robin Press. Likely many of the over 2,000 of that have been sent out to ambassadors and distributors are yet to be distributed. We have a decentralized inventory and distribution system and it will be interesting to see if this generates funds after the books are out of our hands.
