A suggested Goal: SugarLabs will bring the magic of learning with Sugar software to children all over the world by producing cross- platform collections of Sugar Activities, selected by educators, refined by developers, and distributed, free, along with documentation, in multiple languages.

Some possible collections could include:

Sugar Primero (basic learning tools for Primary school children)

Sugar Science (mostly tools for doing science rather than seeing science already done)

Sugar Art (tools for doing creative art projects)

Sugar Thinking (tools for organizing and utilizing thoughts)

Sugar Health (tools for learning about and tracking health)

To do this, more educators and translators would need to be recruited and, in some cases where the project is large and complicated these people should be paid, at least a substantial honorarium.
At least one Sugar Collection will be ready for distribution via App stores and online sites by December 31, 2018. This will include at least 4 different language versions and full documentation (users guides) for each.

Well, it will be good if we start doing showcasing program, that means we could make a program named as showcase SL school in which our marketing team should get involved and start targetting some schools , guide teachers so that these could be beneficial for the kids . We could launch in it some achivements in that so that if a particular school satisfy that criteria will be given a title of SL authorized labs .
Moreover for this we can conduct online competitions . Because as far i have observed is that schools involve only when they are benefitted in some way . So it is also necessary to conduct some programs competitions ....then only we will be able to promote and spread SL across the globe ...! The schools which will become SL showcase schools ,will have those seminars will be keep on conducting and also later we can make student ambassadors in those particular schools so that those students after going through all the things in SL will conduct seminars and all other and they will attract more users.
But as far i know that this could only be possible if we develop some program and allow more school comp department teachers to compete in those ( by documentation work that they have to pick an activity or something about SL use sugar things ,develop something and then send to us ...so will go through itband select ...) i think it will be good to outreach ...! And yes will be intersted too.also for this we can go for special website named as education center for it where users can have different courses for it

I am Jaskirat Singh, SL community member.
Seeking towards Sugar labs Goals 2018 Well, it will be good to have a
program like showcase Schools , that means we could make an event or
program named as SHOWCASE SUGAR LABS SCHOOLS in which our marketing team
should get involved and target schools , and other educational centers ,
conducting seminars and guiding teachers, getting introduced about the
Sugar labs and how it can be beneficial to them . We could have some type
of achievements in that so that if a particular school satisfy that
criteria will be given a title of SL authorized labs .
Moreover for this we can conduct online competitions . Because as far i
have observed is that schools involve only when they are benefitted in some
way . So it is also necessary to conduct some programs competitions
....then only we will be able to promote and spread SL across the globe
...!
So for this The schools which will become SL showcase schools ,will have
those seminars and also later we can make STUDENT EXPERTS in those
particular schools so that those students after going through all the
things in SL will conduct seminars and all other events and teach others
about the things like activities ( music blocks ,turtle, etc) and when they
will tell about this to others then they will seek more users.
But as far i know that this could only be possible if we develop some
program and allow more school comp department teachers to compete in those
( by documentation work that they have to pick an activity or something
related to sugar, use sugar things ,and develop something with help of
those resources and then send to us ...so will go through it and select the
work according to it we can select schools for showcase and also these type
of schools can be given some type of rewards ) i think it will be good to
outreach ...! And yes will be interested too also for this we can go for
special website named as education center for it where users can have
different courses for it and go through it. Even i have started to get SL
introduced in nearby schools.
I hope this idea would work and please feel free to talk about these for
suggestions as well as opinions

Establish connection with Sugarlabs deployments and obtain information on how Sugar is used, its strengths and weeknesses, and innovations developed by these deployments. Sugar has been deployed for nearly a decade and yet there is vritually no information on its use or how its users have developed from this constructive start as they reach maturity.
Several months - but the activity should be ongoing.

Sugar needs to be easier for teachers to try. Running Sugar in a browser is the natural solution and adheres to Sugar's hardware-agnostic position. Sugarizer should be the focus of marketing efforts but needs a "teacher's guide" to help teachers evaluate and choose Sugar for the classroom. Teachers can't spend time troubleshooting technical issues, which makes deploying Sugar on non-XO hardware problematic.
Six months would be sufficient to prepare evaluation and training materials for teachers

Sugar needs to become easier to install and use on non-GNU/Linux computers. A Virtual Machine (VM) approach could lower this barrier significantly, in particular if a VM could be preconfigured for a language and keyboard. Virtualbox could be an excellent solution, with active development and a well-suited license which permits redistribution for educational purposes.
Difficult to estimate. Ideally, VMs could be prebuilt for major languages and their corresponding keyboards, with instructions for teachers on how to adjust those settings. Setting up and maintaining the infrastructure for such a project would likely require significant human and server/bandwidth resources. Therefore, seeking a partnership with a sponsor (Oracle, in the case of Virtualbox) might be the best path.

Sugar as a Service - Sugar available either as a web app, or via a centralized local server which can integrate with a school's pre-existing computer infrastructure {storage, authentication...} while not interfering with it. For Python-based Sugar, the Linux Terminal Server Project, Citrix XenDesktop, and/or VMWare Horizon (the latter two already implemented in many first-world school districts) could be used.
