This cigar has a really nice and clean appearance. A torpedo vitola paired with a dark, rich wrapper that has a very good look and feel in the hand. " -Steve (ThaGreatWazoo) | 90 | "The notes coming off of the foot and through the cold draw are superb. I am picking up sweet notes of sugar and ripe fruit. The cold draw adds a slight anise taste to the overall fruit-forward blend." -Steve (ThaGreatWazoo) | 90 | Medium | Medium | "Wow. That is my initial impression during the first third. The draw and flavors are very well prepared and smooth throughout. I am picking up a nice amount of sweet berries mixed in with a perfectly balanced black licorice. The draw is really smooth and is supplying the perfect amount of smoke, aroma, and flavor. " -Steve (ThaGreatWazoo) | 92.5 | Medium | Medium-Full | "The second third gets better than the first. The notes of berries and black licorice continue, but the overall mixture is just perfectly balanced. A slight introduction of wet grass and earth makes a quick appearance, but subsides rather fast. The most pleasant thing about this cigar is that it is burning so smoothly and smoking so well, I kind of forget that I am reviewing it and I find myself sitting back and truly enjoying the whole experience." -Steve (ThaGreatWazoo) | 90 | Medium | Medium-Full | "The final third leaves me saddened because I know my experience is almost over. The profile has shifted to mainly berries and a slight creaminess. A little bit of pepper peaks its head out near the end, but I laugh due to me searching for a nub tool to take this thing to the end. Just such a great cigar and overall performance." -Steve (ThaGreatWazoo) | 92.5 | "The draw on this cigar was absolutely top notch. I used a straight cut at a slight angle to give it a little character and this cigar rewarded me for it. Lots of nice flavor and smoke without the overwhelming burning or char." -Steve (ThaGreatWazoo) | 87.5 | "The burn waived from time-to-time, but was easily fixed and never became more than a quick thought in my mind." -Steve (ThaGreatWazoo) | 90 | "The construction of this cigar has me semi-baffled. The build is very straightforward and to the point. With that said, the cigar itself was the producer of such a great smoke. I truly appreciated the simplicity and well-built construction coupled with the overall build and great product." -Steve (ThaGreatWazoo) | 92.5 | "Having done reviews for a few years, I find myself placing this cigar at the top of all blind reviews that I have completed. From the balance of the aromas and cold draw pre-light to the smooth flavor profile during the entire cigar, this smoking experience was one that I will remember and try to get back to again. 4 | 9/18/2019 15:55:16 | Alan | Eulogy) | 890 | 90 | "I can tell this would be a very attractive cigar. There's a nice torpedo head with a large triple cap, the wrapper is a uniform medium chocolate brown, and the seams are tight giving a great overall appearance. Problem is that the it came damaged in transit and the middle of the wrapper is blown out. " -Alan (Eulogy) | 95 | "Rich tobacco, white pepper, salt and stone fruit are found on the foot. The wrapper and predraw are a mix of tobacco and leather." -Alan (Eulogy) | 95 | Medium | Medium-Full | "I'm very surprised at how well it's smoking due to the huge crack in the center. Roasted nuts, leather, pepper, coffee, and a burnt caramel note that pops in and out at times. About a quarter inch in the pepper becomes more of a cinnamon spice and it's a very dry, spicy, nutty profile. " -Alan (Eulogy) | 95 | Medium | Medium-Full | "Coffee, cinnamon, nuts, caramel, and leather are all present from the previous third. There's a shifting in the profile as each searches for the lime light though and it adds a certain complexity even with the same core flavors. At the halfway point the cinnamon is replaced by an oily red pepper but it's not enough to drown out the other flavors. " -Alan (Eulogy) | 90 | Medium-Strong | Full | "I'm at the point where the wrapper is more than a little fudged up. When there's more of a cohesive level of binder and wrapper the flavors are more of a rich red pepper, leather, nuts, and coffee. When the wrapper explodes more and I'm getting the lion share of binder and filler it's a much less refined rich tobacco, aggressive oily pepper, and salt. As it gets towards the final two inches there's a salty gingerbread flavor that starts to develop and it's surprisingly better than it sounds. " -Alan (Eulogy) | 92.5 | "Considering that the middle was blown out the draw was actually pretty good. " -Alan (Eulogy) | 95 | "I'm blown away by how razor sharp this thing burned. I never needed to touch it up or do a relight even when it burned through the exploded section of the wrapper. " -Alan (Eulogy) | 95 | "Burned great, no soft spots, the torpedo tip was attractive and well applied. " -Alan (Eulogy) | 95 | "I would love to have another one that was damaged in transit. The core flavors were excellent, the burn was spot on, flavors were ever changing and interesting all the things that one looks for in a top notch smoke. Do yourself a favor and pick these up. " -Dave W. (mdwest) | 90 | "The scent this stick gives off pre-light is more like something I'd expect from a maduro, with dark musty earth type notes and a bit of sweetness in the background. " -Dave W. (mdwest) | 90 | Medium | Medium | "The flavor profile isnt anything like what I expected based on the pre-light aroma. I get woody notes and hints of cinnamon hiding in the background. An interesting combination. " -Dave W. (mdwest) | 90 | Medium | Medium | "Just a little bit of pepper sneaks into the flavor profile about the time the second third begins, otherwise there are no changes to the smoke as of yet. " -Dave W. (mdwest) | 90 | Medium | Medium | "The woody type notes that have dominated the flavor profile from the beginning seem to have shifted a bit from oak to more of a cedar type taste and aroma. The cigar remains super smooth and silky to the nub. " -Dave W. (mdwest) | 95 | "A truly excellent draw with just the right amount of resistance provided. " -Dave W. (mdwest) | 87.5 | "While the burn line was never razor sharp, it self corrected from beginning to end and required zero maintenance. I was surprised at how quickly this cigar smoked though, taking well less than an hour for a fairly good sized stick. " -Dave W. (mdwest) | 90 | "Very clearly well built. Aesthetically pleasing, and no performance problems. " -Dave W. (mdwest) | 92.5 | "Overall a great smoke. At the halfway point the cinnamon is replaced by an oily red pepper but it's not enough to drown out the other flavors. | Very Good | Medium-Strong | Full | I'm at the point where the wrapper is more than a little fudged up. | Great | Considering that the middle was blown out the draw was actually pretty good. | Excellent | I'm blown away by how razor sharp this thing burned. I never needed to touch it up or do a relight even when it burned through the exploded section of the wrapper. | Excellent | Burned great, no soft spots, the torpedo tip was attractive and well applied. | Excellent | I would love to have another one that was damaged in transit. The core flavors were excellent, the burn was spot on, flavors were ever changing and interesting all the things that one looks for in a top notch smoke. Do yourself a favor and pick these up. | 120
92 | 9/30/2019 15:15:11 | Dave W. (mdwest) | 890 | Great | I nice medium brown 6" torpedo with a just a tiny bit of oil sheen on the wrapper. A very nice looking stick. | Very Good | The scent this stick gives off pre-light is more like something I'd expect from a maduro, with dark musty earth type notes and a bit of sweetness in the background. | Very Good | Medium | Medium | The flavor profile isnt anything like what I expected based on the pre-light aroma. I get woody notes and hints of cinnamon hiding in the background. An interesting combination. | Very Good | Medium | Medium | Just a little bit of pepper sneaks into the flavor profile about the time the second third begins, otherwise there are no changes to the smoke as of yet. | Very Good | Medium | Medium | The woody type notes that have dominated the flavor profile from the beginning seem to have shifted a bit from oak to more of a cedar type taste and aroma. The cigar remains super smooth and silky to the nub. | Excellent | A truly excellent draw with just the right amount of resistance provided. | Good | While the burn line was never razor sharp, it self corrected from beginning to end and required zero maintenance. I was surprised at how quickly this cigar smoked though, taking well less than an hour for a fairly good sized stick. | Very Good | Very clearly well built. Aesthetically pleasing, and no performance problems. | Great | Overall a great smoke. It is rare that I smoke anything down to the point where fingers get singed anymore, but this one was too good to let go. Definitely worthy of making a box purchase. | 51
