What is Project ReBalanced MonoThreat?
3
Project ReBalanced MonoThreat is a NatDex project that is about making Monothreat more diverse within each eighteen type metagames. Monothreat is a Monotype Other Metagame where every Pokémon of boh trainers must share one type. This means a Mono-Dark team can only confront another Mono-Dark team, and same goes for other types.
4
5
Mega Evolution returns, while non-signature Z-Moves, alongside Dynamax and Gigantamax, are banned.
6
7
Type Chart is changed. See Type Chart page to figure out what changed.
8
9
Making Ghost and Dragon neutral against themselves allows STAB to be reliable, but not mandatory and allows Pokémon with bulk to not have their bulk undermined by being weak against its own Type, and allowing the Dragon and Ghost metagames to ease up with offensive pressures.
10
11
Multiple underwhelming moves, items and abilities will get a buff to increase variety and viability, while other moves and Abilities such as Wicked Blow and Grim Neigh will be changed to be more balanced and / or interesting.
12
13
New additions, usually in the form of new evolutions of pre-existing Pokémon, are put in order to bring better diversity among types, or to keep top threats in check. A few specific official Pokémon also receives a buff.
14
15
Important: Stealth Rocks now deals half damage than official. (x0.25 = 1.5625%, x0.5 = 3.125%, x1 = 6.25%, x2 = 12.5%, x4 = 25%.) It also deals no damage on Rock-type Pokémon and are removed upon switch-in of a Rock-type Pokémon.
16
17
Banning or nerfing any Pokémon is kept as a last resort if all else fails.
18
19
Greninja-Ash will be nerfed and revamped into something more reasonable to deal with. Likewise, Delphox and Chesnaught will have similar forms.
20
21
For changed Mega Evolution, Mega Evolution now raise BST individually between species, and not with a strict 100+ BST. This also applies to Primal Reversion.
