General Instructions

- One sheet/one language:
o Each language will be found on one sheet.
o Dialects are included in the main language page.
§ For example: Belgian French is included in the French translation sheet.
o If you don’t find your language, please contact Joanne Dehnbostel at jdehnbostel[at]computablepublishing.com
- For each GRADE Ontology code (column A), there is a single preferred term in English (column B), and there may or may not be one or more alternative terms in English (column C; if there are multiple alternative terms, they will be included in the same row.).
- For each GRADE Ontology code (column A), there shall be one and only one preferred term in the target language. There may be none, one, or multiple alternative terms in the target language.
o If alternative terms in the target language are provided, each alternative translation should be put in a new row.

Instructions for the Google Sheet owner (Columns A-C)

-             to create a new sheet, duplicate the template
-             Then change the name of the sheet to the name of the target language
-             Precise the language and the codes associated to the target language (cells E1 and G1) when a preferred term or an alternative term has been validated within the GRADE
ontology working group, add the new term(s) into the template and into thealready open sheets.

Instructions for the first translator (columns D-G)

As first translator, you should only fill in cells in the yellow columns.
1.        go to the sheet corresponding to your target language;
2.        add your name in the cell next to the terms you will suggest a translation (columnD; cell Dx)
3.        add your translation in the next cell (column E, cell Ex);
4.        in the next cell (column F, cell Fx), precise if this translated term is a Preferred term or an Alternative term
5.        mention/indicate the Language code of your translation into the next cell (Gx)
6.        add a new row for each alternative translation (raw x+1)
7.        copy-paste the 4 first cells (Ax, Bx, Cx, Dx)
8.        add your translation in the next cell (Ex+1)
9.        precise if this translated term is a Preferred term or an Alternative term in the next cell (cell Gx+1) mention the language code of your translation in the next cell (Gx+1)

Instructions for the following translators/validator (column H-K)

As following translator, you should only fill in cells in the orange columns.
1.        go to the sheet corresponding to your target language;
2.        add your name in the cell Hx, next (column H);
3.        mention your agreement on the first translation OR if you disagree, add your suggested translation in cell Ix (column I);
4. if you want to suggest a completely new additional translation, add a new row and follow the instructions for first translator (yellow) starting at point 2

Instructions for the Language coordinator (column L)

go to the sheet corresponding to your target language; reaching agreement
- Put Y in the cell Lx if an agreement has been reached.
- Copy the choosen translated term into the Fevir platfrom.
