5
To Do:
6
Unwrap and try out everything! Creates less Moop, & you don't want to get stuck thinking you have a flashlight, to find out it's broken
7
Add lights & bell to bikes. Sandstorms can get super intense and you won't be able to see 10 feet. Don't let the art cars hit you in the dark!
8
Tune up your car: A lot of weight, heat and strain on your car. Cars break down all the time
9
Label Everything. If you want it to come home. Name, phone #, camp name and camp address
10
Install batteries into all tools that need them and figure out which types you'll need for a few extras, when get home, remove batteries for storage
11
Drink Lots of water! 2 liters a day for 2 months before burning man. Your body will learn to hold it better when you are in the desert.
12
Ride your bike! Your thighs will chaffe and your muscles will get sore if you do not practice. I usually start 4 weeks before daily at least 4 miles.
13
Google the Burningman Events list. Get excited about them. Don't expect to do any of them. https://playaevents.burningman.org/2018/playa_events/1
14
Google the Rockstar Librarian List, get excited about awesome music, you may see none of it:) https://www.rockstarlibrarian.com/
15
Swing City Bike Program: Find out bike drop off time, remove bike baskets and label basket and bike with your name.
16
Find out when pick up time is for your bike, and make sure you can take your stuff home that day.
17
Swing City Sunset Rides, Talk with Hunter about when they will happen!
