A club that aims to aid the women and children at a battered women's shelter in Maneadero, BC, Mexico.

Once a month the club will meet and discuss a different book. We will also vote on the next months book and all members are given four weeks to read that months book.

Sending Out Love Club is a Service-Oriented club which aims to create decorative cards for Hospital Patients and Senior Citizens. This is a returning club which meets after school, and provides students with the opportunity to receive service hours, CSF hours, and IB CAS hours. We plan to meet after school on Wednesdays.

Morning Devotional Club is a club where Great Oak students meet to read the bible and nurture our faiths together. We will meet up at Birdsal before school starts every Monday, and host a weekly lunch meeting at Mr. Morton's room on Monday as well. We will also meet at Mr. Morton's room before school starts every Friday to have another morning devotional session. (Monday, Friday - Morning Devotional Sessions; Monday - Lunch meetings)

A live action game involving skill and strategy, where people come together and have fun.

Once a month we will meet and discuss volunteer opportunities for students to go to Retrievers and Friends. At Retrievers and Friends we will help walk the dogs in order to make them more adoptable.

This club is designed for those who have a passion for SpikeBall to come together for some friendly, collaborative competition

GOSC is a club where students of all skill levels can come together and learn about the culture of skateboarding. Students will be able to meet with other skateboarders and will be able to participate in games of S.K.A.T.E (similar to a game of a horse in basketball). The hope is for other skateboarders who attend Great Oak will be able to meet more people with similar interests.

Future Doctors of America aims to educate students about the medical field. We will cover career paths and information regarding the field of medicine. We will also be holding interactive activities for students to better understand and experience the field.

Legacy is a formed dance club that primarily specializes in hip hop. We teach short and quick combos to members to help enhance their dancing style. The goal is to give exposure of the dance style, hip hop, learn from their fellow members, and develop their own dance style.

The student Newspaper that publishes student work/writing to inform the student body.

We work with the rotary to produce a way for students to earn community service and be well-rounded individuals.

Competition team that tries court cases against teams of attorneys from other schools

GOHS NAMI operates under the umbrella of the national organization called the National Alliance on Mental Illness. Our mission is to spread awareness on mental health resources and help reduce stigma surround mental health and wellness.

In the Great Oak Theatre Company, we produce shows in the fall season, accompanied by a musical In the spring. We additionally have various sectors within the company, such as the Improv club (which performs roughly every couple months) our goal is to create an inclusive environment for those who wish to partake in theatre in its many forms.

(Tuesday - Leardership Board), Otherwise various functions of the group meet Mon-Thur from 4-6pm for rehearsals and Thursdays at Lunch for Improv in room 901.

Ohana Nani Nui ( Big Beautiful Family) is a unique student club at GOHS open to all students. The club's main focus is to share the aloha spirit of Polynesian culture. Students learn hula, aparima, otea and other dance and the famous Maori Haka. Students meet after school on Tuesday and Thursday after school. Ohana nani nui performs upon request and at most school functions. Our Ohana prides itself by doing well in school and making positive contributions to our school and community. This is why we know as Big Beautiful Family-Ohana Nani Nui.

In Speech and Debate we will take experienced and novice debaters and teach them how to debate as well as sign them up for local competitions. Our goals are to improve our members' public speaking and argument skills as well as introduce them to local scholarships and networking opportunities through competitions.

The goal of CAHSD is a place for both left learning and bipartisan students to meet and discuss current politics. We will share our ideas on current politics as well as how we will improve policy in our community through protest and other actions. Additionally, we will strive to increase registered voters in our districts as one of our main goals.

We are a club getting together to unite people with common interests in order to engage in fun activities such as crocheting, making jewlery, learning about trends/sustanabilty, etc. Trying to create a warm and welcoming environment for everyone.

Cultivating music and preparing young musicians along with planning for the Spirit of Great Oak Marching Band and Guard

We will hold meetings once a month and collect various food items and care products for local homeless shelters.

Many teenagers struggling with finding a balance with their mental and physical health. Our goal is to collaborate with others on ways to achieve a balanced lifestyle.

The premise of this club is to collect donations of feminine products from students, teacher, or families. During the meeting, the president and vice president will announce the goals that need to be met. Members will then create advertisements (digital or handmade) and decorate the donations buckets. These advertisements will then be posted online and hung around the school, while the donation buckets will be placed wherever permitted. The donations will then be collected and donated to a local homeless shelter.

This club is to unify the AAPI community of GOHS and anyone who wants to learn about these new cultures.

Club for those who would like to learn and play various card games. Such as blackjack, poker, etc. There will be no real monetary gambling just fun and practice.

Young Life Lunch Club purpose is to introduce students to Jesus Christ and help them grow in their faith.

Firefly will be focusing on providing chemo bags and support to those undergoing cancer treatments

We work in teams to study and compete in various academic topics, like math or literature.

The focus of the NHSDA is to: 1. Identify honor students (grades 11 & 12) for nomination to the NDEO Artistic Merit, Leadership and Academic Achievement Award, one of the highest honor programs for dance in the United States. 2. To promote a desire for life-long learning in the field of dance. 3. To encourage an understanding of, and an appreciation for, dance as an art form and develop knowledgeable audiences for tomorrow.

We meet at lunch to watch English Premier League, Champions League, and World Cup soccer games. We'll be exploring the cultures and histories of our favorite players and teams. It is welcome to anyone who has a passion for international soccer or would like to learn more about it. We'll share our favorite teams and players from across the world, and we're open to watching games from different leagues as well, if there is an interest for that.

Usually Mondays and/or Fridays, but also whenever there are games during the week that we'd like to watch at lunch

This club is for students who have an appreciation and love for horses. All levels and interests are encouraged to attend. The group will focus on learning opportunities, volunteer opportunities at local shows, supporting one another at local competitions, sharing information about colleges that support Equestrian programs, guest speakers, etc.

We will complete service projects once a month in the WSB room, in which students are able to earn community service hours for participating.

Rho Kappa was established in 2000 and is a program of the National Council for the Social Studies. Our chapter was established in 2022. The purpose of Rho Kappa is to stimulate a deeper and more comprehensive understanding of all the disciplines comprising the social studies curriculum (geography, history, economics, government, sociology, psychology and more). The main principles of truth, wisdom, knowledge and service are the guiding principles for Rho Kappa. Our chapter also focuses on civic engagement.

A club that helps students develop leadership skills as well as interest in the business field. The club will also participate in various competitive programs in order to give members experience with aspects of the field as well as what they can expect in the future. Helps students learn more about management, leadership, teamwork, as well as things such as the stockmarket.

To learn and grow the passion of students for the ocean and all the living organisms with in.

The K-Dance Club is where we express our love for Asian culture by participating in the many dance styles that come with it. We will learn popular dances from popular songs(and even the less popular ones) and possibly perform them via videos or rallys.

The Dance Class Club is comprised of students who are enrolled in the Dance program at Great Oak. The purpose of the club is to plan the Spring Dance Concert production, and direct fundraising and the way in which the funds are spent to benefit the dance program and its students.

Senior care club is intended to be a vessel to connect Great Oak students with local senior citizens through acts of service.

We aim to cover different major religions of the world, discussing things we find interesting about them and informing our members about their key aspects.

We are a christian club that meets in fellowship to learn about Jesus and what he did for us. We have pastors from the valley come preach and interact with our club. Anyone and everyone is welcome.

Purpose of the club is to create a platform to learn about allied health careers, possible volunteer opportunities and assistance with GOHS athletics

Our club has its members form into groups to create their very own video games together, learning about the development process and teamwork along the way. We also compete in game making competitions called game jams to test our skills. At the semester we plan to have a showcase of all our games.

GOBF is a safe place for students to come together for food, sweet fellowship, and to look towards the Bible for guidance & direction. GOBF is for students for all walks of life that are interested in what God has to say in the Bible and have questions regarding the Bible.

The Great Oak Competitive Programming Club competes in competitions such as the USA Computing Olympiad (USACO) as well as other local and national level programming competitions. We learn programming and algorithmic problem-solving skills.

Family Careers and Community Leaders of America

To promote personal growth and leadership development through Family and Consumer Sciences education. Focusing on the multiple roles of family member, wage earner, and community leader, members develop skills for life through character development, creative and critical thinking, interpersonal communication, practical knowledge, and career preparation.

Our team will design and build a robot to compete in the FIRST Tech Robotics Competition. Designed to promote female representation in STEM, our team creates a community for female students to share their passion for robotics and engineering.

American Sign Language Honor Society is all about promoting and advertising the sign language world. We love to raise awareness and support our community by interpreting GOTC’s school plays, creating events and more all inviting deaf people to come to hang out.

This club will investigate crime scene cases and discuss aspects of Forensic Science, exploring pathways in the field.

A group dedicated to teaching students about the power they have to change their lives. We discuss the 6 pillars of wellness as defined by the National Wellness Institute, physical, emotional, social, occupational, intellectual, and spiritual. It is our goal to help students learn how to create healthy habits in their lives and learn how to advocate for their well being. Weekly discussions are dependent on the needs of members, what they want to focus or work on and what they are interested in.

Chinese culture including music, clothes, food, holidays, and more. In addition, providing cross-cultural exchanges with high schoolers from China as well as fundraisers and tutors for kids in poor areas.

The garden club helps to maintain a space on campus to grow food plants and drought tolerant plants for students to enjoy

Our club strives to help Great Oak students find ways to join a firefighter cadet program in a more efficient and fun environment. We hope to provide students with the information they need in order to seek out their goals of perhaps one day joining the firefighter academy.

K-Dance is where together, people who enjoy Asian Pop can hang out, learn dances, and have fun!

Our club aims to serve the community through in person service events. In addition, we work with the district in order to reach out to other organizations in need.

A club where student athletes can gather in community to worship and grow in their faith as a young believer. FCA will provide a safe space and allow students to have time away from classes and the anxiety that comes along with school.

This club is designed to bring awareness to beach conservation and bring about awareness about how to keep our beaches clean and safe

This club would be where students with an interest in film can gather and discuss their favorite movies. This would include discussion based on the season or time, genre, directors, and more. Everyone is welcome to join the discussion no matter how much knowledge they have about film

To promote mental health and fitness through dryland workouts and pool workouts, swim meets, meetings, and team bonding events.

Explore foreign realites and global issues within the realm of video media arts. This exploration welcomes the watching of, the analyzation of, and discussion of foreign films, all while appreciating and pondering cinematic choices, wrapped in the admiration of its beauty and dialogue.

Our club aims to raise awareness of women's rights issues and how change can be implemented throughout our community.

The purpose would be to build a group of people who have an inspiration and love for fashion/design and create new concepts and inspire each other. The plan is to have discussions and brainstorms in order to find new ways to better the abuse in the fashion industry, also analyze trends, designers, models, and the industry as a whole. It will be a fun and interactive club, many hands on activities and insightful research and discussions.

Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica (Spanish National Honors)

The mission of the Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica is to recognize high school achievement in Spanish and Portuguese and to promote interest in Hispanic studies.

To educate women on the different fields which women have led/ discovered major scientific and technological studies. We will also discuss different fields which are available in STEM related career paths and the route that's needed. We will also provide opportunities for community service hours and resources.

A club dedicated to the advancement of proficient snowboarders and the progression of beginning snowboarders in an atmosphere of a shared passion.

We will trying recipes with those who like or want to learn how to cook, we will host potlucks where everyone will bring homemade cooked
