Instructions for the RAGLAN ARMHOLE/SLEEVE CAP CALCULATOR
2
This calculator will give you a better fitting sleeve cap than the instructions in the Knitter’s Sweater Fitting Bible. ADD NUMBERS TO BLUE BOXES ONLY! I’ve indicated what to put in each blue box to assist you in filling it out. To use: 1) make a copy of this spreadsheet and rename it with the name of your sweater and the date. There is a tab for INCHES and another for CM’s. Use the one appropriate for the measurement set you’re using. 2) calculate raglan armhole shaping and insert your numbers in the blue squares as indicated on this sheet. 3) Insert numbers in the blue squares for SLEEVE CAP SHAPING. You may wish to start with the same numbers as your armhole shaping. Then adjust until the difference in length (highlighted in green) is less than 2.5 cm (1 inch).
