2 | This is a spreadsheet of all of the available resources compiled into one place. These are resources that can all be found on Rice University's own website but due to the plethora of links and confusion that generally happens when students search for those resources, we've compiled this into one place so that students have all of the possible resources without having to navigate through the entirety of the Rice website. | There are several tabs at the bottom of this spread sheet and you can click through to search for the specific resource category you wish to find. If you are unclear on which category the resource you are looking for falls under, check the table of contents below to give a rough idea. There are duplicates within each tab for resources since many offices offer a range of help. 4 | Instructions | This sheet contains information about what this resource entails, as well as instructions on how to utilize this resources, and has a form for any suggestions you may have. This tab also contains the table of contents for the specific tabs as well as more information on the tabs themselves for people who may be lost/confused on where to go. Navigate to the different tabs at the bottom part of this sheet where there should be tabs that say "Instructions," "Academics," and etc. | |
5 | Academics | This sheet contains information pertaining to academia and areas of academics that provide resources. There includes resources for class help, course decisions, major/minor choices, and much more. Whether it be for studying abroad or for fine-tuning specific skills needed for academia, this tab will most likely have it. | |
6 | Career | Related to future and further areas of development, whether that be internships, interviews, knowing different opportunities, getting a job, or graduate school preparation. | |
7 | Student Life | All areas of student life including but not limited to housing, dining, transportation, and other activities. All of your leadership and specific resource centers are located here. Anything that may perhaps be even counted as part of your life as a student can be found here. | |
8 | Finance | This tab contains information related to finance, financial aid, payment, and etc... All areas of finance, jobs, employment are found here. | |
9 | Admin/Faculty/Alumni | Any resources that are mainly focused on the administrative offices/faculty/alumni. This is also useful for students who perhaps wish to find particular information that relates to the more administrative side and that may not be found in "student" resources. | |
10 | International/Non-Trad | A quick guide for international and non-tradition students and the resources available for them. Check other areas for specific concerns if what you are looking for as a member of this category is not found here. | |
11 | Health/Safety | Anything that pertains to the wellbeing and safety of a student, be it physical or mental. Also includes safety in regards to all aspects of the student life. | |
12 | Research | Resources regarding student research, how to start, the processes, and other such available help to get you started or resources for those who are currently doing research. Also contains all the necessary boards and institutions that Rice is required to have in regards to research. | |
13 | Athletics | Pertains to student athletes, athletic opportunities, and also events. | |
14 | Residential Colleges | Information on the specific residential colleges as well as the resources and information offered by each residential college's website. | |
15 | Clubs/Organizations | Rice University's associated clubs and organizations; these can change by a semester basis so check on a semester basis in case changes occur. | |
