[1] There are six required graduate courses for the MA, namely REL600 - REL605. Each is offered once every two years. Thus, first-year graduate students will

take whichever three are offered during their combined senior/graduate year and the remaining three in the following year.

[2] REL688 (Plan B Research) and REL700 (Thesis Research) are available on demand for students who have advanced to candidacy. Plan A students may take up

to 6 units of REL700. Plan B students may take up to three units of REL688.
